Google Street View cars collects personal data at the same time!
So, when Google goes around shooting its Street Views for Google Maps, at the same time it automatically collects passwords and emails from any unsecured WiFi network and stores them. In 2010 Google admitted these charges. The Information Commissioner's Office has given Google 35 days to destroy this data or face contempt of court charges.
Not only is it Big Brother watching you, it's Big Mother, Big Sister, Big Uncle. From now on, if a government official, bank or paypal query how someone might have got hold of your personal details, to take money from your account, to obtain a passport, identity theft etc, it's going to be a huge list to hand over, of possibilities of how that information was gained.
Grabbing a free Wifi connection might not be a great idea. Nothings ever free in this world :(
