well i think this is the issue.. people get shot and die every day in LA

one police officer gets grazed by a bullet and you have a 25 block radius locked down for hours. i suppose it doesn't seem like a big deal, but the twitter accounts from the folks within that 25 block radius.. aren't happy

The officers were part of a unit conducting the search of the home in an area patrolled by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Late Tuesday, officers evacuated residents from the area as police with high-powered rifles maintained positions outside the home.

The gun battle followed an ambush early Tuesday during which an attacker shot at two LAPD undercover detectives outside the Wilshire station in Mid-City.

That shooting sparked a day-long manhunt in which officers searched unsuccessfully for the attacker.

Authorities said the two incidents did not appear to be related but stressed that the situation was still unfolding.

Los Angeles is a pretty big place, its population alone is larger than some nations.
So there you have it, some amount of scumbags clearly but probably not more than the average.
I dont see any riots or lock downs.
going to the beach, some surfing and drinks party and hot girls.
only change is the hot girls are more latina nowadays.

USA is pretty tough on folks who shoot at cops, it probably happens more here since we are allowed to own guns, my guess is the cops are extra aggressive considering nearly anyone could be armed... nothing to do with constitution.

Many countries allow to own guns. E.g. in Switzerland you can own a machine gun or even a bazooka. But I haven't heard about such sort of problems there (people shooting at police, police killing bystanders, blocking 25 blocks etc) :2 cents:
