Mt. Gox, the world?s largest bitcoin exchange, has taken a step towards complying with US money-laundering regulations by registering as a money services business with the US Treasury Department.
The Treasury Department?s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, FinCEN, shows on their website that Mt. Gox?s registration as a money services business was received on Thursday 27th June.
Although the registration does not constitute approval by FinCEN of Mt. Gox?s activities, ....

Once MTG start trading in LTC in a couple of weeks time the price of LTC should jump, at least for about 5-10 days while everyone clambers trying to make a few bucks off them.

Can't wait for that to happen, have been sitting on around 750LTC for the last few months and as soon s they hit $0.053 these suckers get sold and converted to 40BTC :)

Its not like they didnt do shit. You sound very jealous. I hope them all the success in the world. I hope to make the kind of money they do. sad life.

the majority of wealth they have they did not earn, their daddy did. its much easier to be successful when you have basically unlimited capital behind you to fund ideas.

So the jealousy of their fathers success just eats you right up?

If you were billionaire you would not spoil your children nor would you fund your kids ideas right. Fucking hypocrites :disgust

i'm not jealous of their fathers success, he deserves it. what i despise is these dipshits thinking they're hot shit when they would just average nobodies if not for their father. i think every rich family would benefit from making their children work for their own success instead of suckling at the teet of theirs.

dyna mo 07-03-2013 04:56 PM

interesting business concept, i am not sure i like it or that it's going to work. the problem i see with it is it distorts the true nature of btc, which is supposed to be a currency, not an investment tool. i understand that it is currently treated primarily as a speculative investment but in just a couple years, 90+% of btc will be mined, the massive speculation should subside at that time so i wonder what will happen to this btc stock over time.

I have two daughters - and although I have the financial capability of spoiling them - I never have. My youngest just bought herself a new car from the money she earned working two jobs (while going to college). She pays her own insurance, fuel and repairs. She takes pride in having earned it herself. She knows what it takes to earn her way in life.

Jealous of silver spooners?

No. I pity them.

Fuck you and your "hypocrit" accusation. Ask your daddy to go fund you a clue.

No clue it makes no sense.

Prices are down across the board, even on shares of companies that ARE making great profits with BTC mining.

- Jesus Christ - 07-03-2013 08:40 PM

It matches the 2011 drop. Unless there is big news it will probably continues to stagnate.

There is absolutely no comparison with YOU and Howard Winklevoss. To attempt a comparison between your life and theirs is just ridiculous. You are surely a funny idiot in this thread SilentKnight :helpme

BlackCrayon & SilentKnight, good luck, i wish you guys well, I hope your parents support your decision to be the way you are. Rainbow power. It's a right we have, enjoy it! :)

I'm still suspicious of bit-coins ability to retain value.

My parents never gave me a trust fund. Instead, they taught me something far more valuable - by their own example.

A work ethic.

A sense of pride in accomplishment.

I feel pity for the silver spooners who can never buy those qualities with all of daddy's money in the world.

dyna mo 07-05-2013 03:10 PM

let's give the winklevii their due, they graduated harvard, they went to the olympics and medaled, they have looks and wealth and a strong family bond. all wonderful things.

but they are not business men. they like to think and act like they are simply due to winning the fb lawsuit. but i can't find any business venture that they've actually run yet they are in the media portraying businessmen who know what they are talking about. i'm not sure yet that they do.
