Why can't you edit your posts for more than 15 minutes, here?

Simple question. I think 15 minutes is a little bit short.

Make it 2 hours at least. No?

maxjohan 07-22-2013 03:42 AM

Pay $5 a month. To get to edit your posts for up to 1 week.

+ add other privileges.

It's a sure winnner. No?

Because a number of GFY members in the past have come out of the closet and admitted they love da cock and exactly 16 minutes later they edited it out. So the 15 minute lock ensures we all know who loves the penis :2 cents:

Sure. I believe you. :thumbsup

I think hours of editing is dangerous to sales threads as editing can change the terms or price of a deal, nice to have original post locked for reference :2 cents:

With a 15-minute limit, you have enough time to proof-read your post and make any corrections.

I like the rapid back and forth, and editing after a debate is underway can be disruptive or confusing to spontaneous discussion. If you need to amend anything after 15 minutes, make another post. :2 cents:

Didn't back in the day they had problems with people deleting their posts and shit to attempt to get the 50 spot when they had contests where whoever landed on the 50 post got paid? Could be attached to that too.

That long? I always thought the limit here was like 5 minutes.

How long do some of you need to correct a typo? If it's more than a typo you're worried about try hitting "preview post" a few times before hitting the submit button whenever you post, and give yourselves time to rethink the crappola you're about to spew. :D

Agreed. Certainly there are exceptions to the rule, but generally speaking, 15 minutes is more than ample.

When people think before they post, they usually never experience "board regret" later.
