NFL Preseason only weeks away.


Can't wait to see how the Niners do this year.

NFL season is so short.

Our "football" season here lasts about 10 months a year...

Yup, 17 weeks + playoffs.

5 1/2 months total, including the pre-season.


But it's intense. :D

If I was in Vegas putting money on next year's superbowl Niners would be my pick.

"pre season" is such a joke. Lets go get injured for some games that "don't count" except in ad revenue. I GET it.. but it sucks. Just extend the freaking season and do away with this nonsense.

Our football started in 1841, however I just like ribbing you yanks about your particular version of football, with all the players dressed up in protective gear :P

because there is little contact. your players cry over sprained ankles and grass burn :1orglaugh nfl broken bones torn muscles.

To be honest I never watch the pre-season. It's mostly for the newer players vying for their respective spots, tune-up games that don't matter to the viewer. Same with the probowl, these are irrelevant games to me.

The real excitement starts on week 1.

Light ribbing aside, I say don'tk knock it until you've donned the protective gear and taken a few snaps and gotten hit by a 300 lb freight train in cleats.

Then come a-laughing. :D

i'm just messin with ya too, our guys are pretty tough though, even with the protective gear. we're just now learning about the large amount and severity of concussions for instance. it is a very brutal sport. i think the style of hitting is different from rugby, which may help explain the difference in uniforms. i'm sure our vast # of sports attorneys also helped advance gear requirements.

y'all got it rough the 1st 1/2 of the season too, but it looks relatively easy after that. underdogs aside.
