I have been chatting to a few UK webmasters, and models who run sites.

The conclusion is porn sales (members sites) is dead.

I was chatting to a very popular UK model who has 40k in followers on twiter and followers on facebook and other media. She told me she made £40 this month in sales to her site. She makes £300 in 3 hours most nights on webcam.

She is not the only one, many webmasters make next to nothing these days.

In fact many now shut sites down.

Now some BIG sites may still be making $$$, though from posts by affiliates one presumes its not from your average affiliate.

The pattern clearly is sales are on a decline.

In the past pepople still had hope, but even on gfy.com most of you now have started to hold your hands up and admit defeat.

On top of that things clearly will be made worse by credit card fees ubeing added on or increasing. Countries looking to bad or restrict porn.

I think now is the time to have a realistic thread about how things are going.

We need to seek better ways to make money from porn.

Clearly the pay model is dead. Lets not ride on short term hopes of say bitcoin or mico payments. All these are are short term hopes and at most will for a few months fill a few cracks.

The reality is, is that most sites are riped and are free to download.

Maybe you could start the ball rolling with telling everyone how many sales and rebills you have on your sites.

You can't start a discussion asking people you tell you about their current experiences but no post your own information.

It's not fully dead but it's definitely overall on the decline with the trend being clear and usually there are other things one can be doing to make more money instead. Like the model who makes £300 in a couple hours on webcam versus £40 a week on her paysite as you say.

Some people don't want to hear this kind of talk. Which is fine. But I think it can be useful for others who are trying to make decisions on what to do going forward. I think some people forget that not everyone here has a rep's salary or is doing this only for side money. For some this is how they put food on the table for their kids. The happy go lucky "everything is great" BS only hurts them if it's not true.

I have eighty blogs and I am still making money, mostly from solo girls running CCBill.

I also do well with cams and dating.

Pay sites were never in my top three ways of making money and thank god for that
Of my top 3 ways I bank 2 of them I would never tell and the 3rd nobody would believe me and to prove it I would have to give to much info away so just keep on going with your pay sites

if your friend has 40,000 real twitter followers and she can't figure out how to get more than $50/month from them, the problem is your friend.,not the industry. twitter fans are the best porn customers on the planet, you just have to know how to market to them and how to count moneys.
