Important CCBill Contract Changes

Just got this from CCBill. The "agreement" is 14 pages of legalese, so hope I'm not missing something important.

Quote:

Dear XXXXXXXXXXX, Inc. Principal,

As you may know, part of CCBill?s work on your behalf is to manage financial regulatory changes to have the least amount of impact to your online business.

Recently, the card associations have implemented changes to your processing agreement with CCBill, which requires the addition of our bank, Merrick Bank, as an additional signatory on your agreement.

This must be in place by September 1, 2013, and is required for all U.S. and Canadian CCBill clients who process more than $100,000 in volume annually for either Visa or MasterCard. We must have this adjusted agreement in place to avoid possible suspension of your processing with these card types.

This change will do nothing to your CCBill account other than change the agreement, and all services, reserves, and registrations will remain as-is.

To make this as easy as possible for you, we have pre-filled the agreement with all of your current account information as associated with your CCBill account. Additionally the agreement will be securely processed digitally via DocuSign, our electronic signature manager, so that you may sign the agreement electronically with a few clicks.
To review and sign the contract click the View Documents button below. You will be directed to the DocuSign website where instructions are provided to help you complete the signing process. After the agreement has been signed by all parties you will receive an email with a PDF version of the signed document to retain for your records.

If you notice while signing that any information has changed you have two options; A. Continue to complete the agreement using the information currently on file, then contact me directly to make any adjustments to the account information or B. Contact me prior to signing the agreement. We will update your information and I will generate a new CCBill/Merrick agreement for your signature.
Does that all make sense? If not, please contact me for clarification or more information.

Sincerely,

Email: [email protected]

Kinda vague, isn't it?

sounds like a way for those that don't sign to close them up. At least that's how I read it.

That might be why.

How would that benefit Merrick or CCBill if no real significant changes in the contract exist?
