Xander Corvus Tests Negative for HIV
|
Great news for a lot of people here.
but after being exposed to hiv, doesn't it take the body like over a month to develop enough antibodies to show up on a test? shouldn't xander still wait a couple more weeks before returning to work or am i way off here? |

I thought it was years that it could sit around.

From the San Francisco AIDS Foundation:
What's the specific window period for different types of HIV tests? Antibody tests ("Rapid" tests) ? give a positive result based on antibodies to HIV, not the virus itself. 2-8 weeks (up to 2 months) after infection, most people will have enough antibodies to test positive 12 weeks (3 months) after infection, about 97% of people will have enough antibodies to test positive Antigen tests (RNA tests) ? show a positive result based on the presence of the virus. These tests are more expensive than anitbody tests, so are not offered in as many places. 1-3 weeks after infection, there will be enough viral material for a positive result Regardless they should quarantine the first & possibly second generation exposures for the full 12 weeks. :2 cents: |

Love that guy!! Cool dude, class act, very responsible when it comes to his business.
Never thought he ha had it to begin with. Im not one to read into the hype and bullshit. Some of these blogs get the info up very fast, but never fact check shit before it goes up. AVN/Xbiz, might be a bit slower, but the facts are checked, double checked and corroborated by other in the "know." Not guesses, maybes, possibles and shit relayed by someone who has a vendetta against the person they are dishing out dirt on. Pretty sad stuff. Its not to hard to call and ask the person before slamming them. (Fact Checking) Just Dave |

Been wondering about a couple of things:
Assuming we utilize the data from the CDC, for 100% of people to be cleared via testing we have to wait through a 6 month incubation period. So: 1. Her first POSITIVE test for HIV was on August 21st 2013. Since it might take 6 months to show a positive, shouldn't we be looking at everyone in the 1st and 2nd generation going back to February 21, 2013? And shouldn't those people, regardless of how remote the possibility, be quarantined for 6 months from the date of the first positive test? 2. I keep reading articles stating that she did NOT contract HIV on a set. This implies that she and perhaps others know where, and thus when she did in fact contract the virus. It's rather important that people understand when and how "they" know this. The implications of that revelation are either benign or truly staggering. |
Just to set a few things straight...first avn gets things wrong WAY more than I do
lets take the most recent where they say all 1st gen exposures have been contacted...COMPLETELY false I know two for sure that were never contacted and both are well known performers. and second that statement about her not getting it in porn, they cant anymore know that right now than pigs can fly....complete bullshit. The thing everyone is awful quiet about id her boyfriend Rod Daily...he retested on Thursday but his results havent been talked about...and he is a well known gay performer who also does straight.....If you think AVN gets shit right you are very wrong...they only mention what they want you to know, true or not..... |

yes the shlong has the cells youre talking about. but nevertheless the point robbie is trying to communicate is still true; it is "very very unlikely" that a male will get hiv from a female through vaginal intercourse. dr. miao said so himself. |

It's fucking laughable to me. |
Well let's hope he passes another on in 12 weeks.

I am going to trust the CDC over a doctor that makes his money testing talent so that they can shoot bareback. :2 cents: |

You're wrong plain and simple. I've googled this up in other threads and put in all the links about it before so I'm not going to do it again. For a man with no abrasions on his penis to catch HIV from a WOMAN during vaginal intercourse is ALMOST impossible. HIV is hard to catch, thank God, or we'd all have it. |

so if he doesnt have it.....how did she get it?
needles? or just unlucky unprotected sex with some other infected. im so glad i never got into that side of the business....even just producing it must be a nightmare of stress right now...let alone the people doing the fucking |

The story making the rounds is that her boyfriend shoots gay for pay porn and is the one who passed it to her. Of course, I don't think that any of us should have this information to begin with. And if I were that girl I'd be suing the hell out of some people. Medical records are supposed to be private. Not shared on GFY and countless other message boards. Hell, I was told this week that she actually found out she was infected by hearing about it from people reading GFY! That's fucked up. And it's one of the reasons that people are scared to be tested by the "industry". Between this and the Donny Long fiasco a couple of years back (with every adult performers names and addresses being posted online straight from the AIM database), there is no way in hell that I would let Claudia Marie be tested by any of these "industry" testing centers. Not only are they charging more than double what the cost of the test is (we use Lab Corp for ours...and it's $59 for the panel), but they are also doing stupid shit like this with people's medical records. It won't be long before some people end up paying BIG TIME financially for giving out people's medical records. |
I agree with Ronnie on this one. Releasing names to the public is insane and only causes hysteria. There is a protocol in place, let it be worked. Nobody should be shooting right now and all models affected are contacted by doctors.
That's how it has to work and how it is the only legal way! All thirds discussions here by people who quote some website or the CDC is madness and just causes misinformation. The industry does not use antibody tests, so continuously posting info about incubation and antibody tests from the CDC is useless! The industry uses very sensitive RNA tests which react after a week or less in most cases. And before someone now says that all the articles talk about CET and TTS finding antibodies in their tests of the first performer: some stupid journalist fucked up and misinformed everyone with wrong information and everyone picked up on it. That is clearly all and there is no conspiracy here. Sadly until all producers do not use the same system for testing there will always be fights happening since someone wants an advantage somewhere. I hate that these fights are fought on the back of our most important assets: the performers! |
Sorry man but you are Robbie are clueless about shooting out here. Faster these names get out the better.

I am far from clueless gabe. As I said, none of this will ever work until all producers use the same system. It is sad they do not, especially since APHSS is free and there is ZERO drawback from using it.

The Bf stated on his twitter that his test comes back on Tuesday and he did not use CET or TTS to test in order to keep it private. He his pretty confident that it was not from him. He does also work for kink on the gay side. |

Price? Trust issues? Location? Privacy issues? Whatever it is, seems that needs to be resolved before you can all get on the same page. |
Even with a clean test, wouldn't anyone doing a scene with him have to think deeply about it first?
|
Where is the test result of her bf? The single most important test relating to this event and no word on it. The day she found out her results is the day he should have gone in for testing.
|
Talk about dodging a bullet!
|
Her BF Rod Daily is testing at an independent facility (not CET or TTS) and has tweeted the results will be in tomorrow (Tues)

How do you get the test from Lab Corp? I just called them, they require an order from the doctor, only send the results to the doctor and I didn't even get to the cost at that point. I use a local Lab Corp as a draw station for Talent Testing, but have to pay FED/EX and draw fees, plus takes longer for results. I would prefer to deal directly with Lab Corp. Your information would be appreciated.

Like the girl who didn't know John Stagliano was HIV+ and let him finger her. Most people just show up, get fucked or sling dick, and go home. |
Quote:
We told him how much we were getting charged from the old AIM and also from TTS. And they were using Lab Corp to do the draw anyway. He couldn't believe how badly they are ripping off adult performers on this. So our doctor gave Claudia Marie a "standing order" for Lab Corp. She goes in, gets blood drawn, a couple of days later we pick up the results from our doctors office. $59 :) That's testing for syphilis, gonorrhea, and HIV |
