Managed VPS, do many exist?

I always get asked for vps recommendations, but most of the people that want them, cant manage or dont know linux well enough or any other OS that they can put on it.

for example

linode $20 a month (basic package)
managed add $100 a month.

So they are obviously paying for the service, but dont feel like paying 5 times the amount of the hosting cost.

And I know some can request cpanel or another system, looking for full managed.

If anyone can recommend one or some, so I can pass the word around.

Adult or Mainstream hosts are fine.

thanks.

:thumbsup

Fully managed VPS are quit hard to find because they are cheap. It's not worth it to provide full managed support for a few bucks monthly and that's the reason why fully managed VPS are quite expencive and only few providers to offer them..

I used HostGator VPS years ago and it was pretty good but bit expensive (compared with other providers) but still pretty good for the money. But after some time I could get an entry level server for the price I was paying for their VPS so I moved out...

I've heard that support on Linode is good but I have never used them.

Today I use Digital Ocean + WHM/cPanel and it simply rocks. It's not managed but that's not a problem for me since I can do it on my own. WHM/cPanel powered server/VPS also needs less maintenance work that regular (blank) server.

Labor costs money. If you need management, someone has to pay the tech.

Thanks BladeZ, purecane, and Denny!

Friz, not sure why they didn't get a response. Just reviewed our ticket system and didn't see any inquiries not answered.

Fris, please contact me directly, would enjoy talking to you about our referral program.

admin at m3xs.com
