It is laughable to me the number of ignorant

...people on this board weighing in about...geo politics...Syria...the military and military strategy...as if they know what they are talking about. Even some of the smarter members are fucking ignorant about these subjects...but continue to spew out their babble.

_Richard_ 09-09-2013 11:50 AM

how did that .50 cal meeting with your 'reaching out to touch someone' go?

JFK 09-09-2013 11:54 AM

I totally agree:2 cents:

Sly 09-09-2013 11:56 AM

I took Political Science 101 in college 10 years ago, so I know everything about the topic. Y'all should just back off right quick.

L-Pink 09-09-2013 11:58 AM

I concur, There are a lot of idiots around here that disagree with my opinion.

While I was out at my wilderness place this time...I fired 25 rounds with it and zeroed it in on three firing lanes I have established all of which are different ranges. I also learned that at around a mile it is pretty much deadly accurate.

When I was off the coast of Iran in 1980, I think I had a pretty good idea why we were there. I don't see any reason for going to Syria now!

There are no reasons, that's why you don't see them. :2 cents:

dyna mo 09-09-2013 12:16 PM

well, fill us all in then, theking.

don't just keep your knowledge of world affairs and international diplomacy to yourself and your wilderness place, protected by 3 lanes of 1 mile killing zones.

Good on you for serving your country.
But honestly, you were there for the reason you were told.

No other reason.

What you are told and what is the truth only seldomly converges into the same space.

i like to think that gfy is a place to come for us to discuss business but on this particular board, out of business hours, things like current events, cars, parties and girls, so maybe if you have any ideas on what we can talk about please we would like to hear them.

i use the ignore function for someone i don't like or who annoys me, someone who might provoke me in to saying something hurtful and get me in to trouble, unless you are irritated by a single member perhaps rather than any of the subject matter of these forums.

Sure sure, they gave you all political science classes to explain what was going on. They do that to everyone in the military.

Most of us live in a democracy, we are not supposed to be ignorant and we don't have to accept this ignorance without a proof :winkwink:

Actually, I was on a submarine, things are different, at least on our boat. We had to know more about what was going on because of what we were doing. We were right off the coast!

Again, submarine, the idea was that they didn't see us!

You have no idea what I knew and I won't discuss it. Remember this, on a submarine, the cook has a secret clearance.
