Russia has not attained respect of late from cowardice as has America.

What he is saying, though indeed asinine, is the sentiment of a great number of people. From their standpoint our government looks like an arrogant, hypocritical bunch of jerks with very little moral compass.

From within we know there are millions of good people but that truth seems to be obscured by our government's policies and behaviors sometimes.

As I told it here already 70% of all murders are domestic. A typical situation is following: a few of unemployed men were drinking at home of one of them. Then they quarreled and fought. One has took a kitchen knife and stabbed another one.

I mean it's a very specific kind of murders. It's not like a mass-shooting on the street or something like that. If you are not and alcoholic and don't drink with stranger rednecks, you are ok.

Course it doesn't because you don't live here. You know, I have seen only one serious crime during all my life in Moscow (I live here for about 10 years). It was a midnight and I heard screaming woman. I've opened a window and saw a standing women that was screaming: "help, he has robbed me! stop him somebody!" and some junkie who was running very fast into the night with her handbag. That's such a dangerous place I'm living in :2 cents:

P.S. Me, my family and all my friends have never seen a murder for all our lives. Hope you and yours have the similar experience in the USA.

I've never seen a murder or robbery, but was I was robbed once. Fucker came up behind me at a cheap crappy model, stuck a gun in my back, and said "give me your money". I'm like "I don't think so Scooter" and I spun around to take him out... Woke up a few minutes later without my wallet.

Crime is everywhere; It doesn't matter where you live. I live in a small town with a very low crime rate and we had our first murder here last year - stunned all of us. Shit happens. Even in a town of 30k someone is going to get murdered sooner or later.

I'm not against communism - there are countries in the world where the poor are so dumb and exploited that communism makes sense. Cuba was the prime example. Once you have them semi-educated and healthy it's time for some form of democratic free market government. Vietnam will get there, already well on its way economically. China won't be red forever.
