What feature do you HATE most about Windows 8.0

For me, its the lame default font. I just got a new laptop and the font size is so tiny. What's your gripe?

AmeliaG 09-23-2013 08:24 PM

It is structured to make sense for a touchscreen, but they rolled it out for desktops and regular laptops too.

its not feature, but its the things i miss most on new Windows.

Start button and possibility of changing working enviroment back to XP as it was in Vista.

Fuck new Windows, my computer isnt smartphone.

With enough dicking around, the home screen is bearable. But the tiny font size really gets to me.

I don't know. I was pretty pissed at Windows 8 but wow I've gotten over it. I rarely see the metro interface so not much gripe there, and they've made it a bit better with the different tile sizes and the awful colors it came with

If I had to choose, one thing would be removing Aero. Now I'm stuck with mostly gaudy colors like the default mustard yellow when you first log into Windows 8.1.

I hate open pdf's.. I don't want any program to use the metro interface. They should auto-detect if you have a touch screen or not, and then not have apps open and be locked to full screen.

It's not Apple.

Windows 8 really improves if you get a couple of cheap apps. The first is Start8 which creates the windows start menu (thank god). THere is another one called fences which helps with desktop issues. The cost of both programs 14 bucks.

Now it works pretty much like windows 7 but touch features are still working if you do have a touch screen. The first time I saw windows 8 I swore and uninstalled it. The second time I found this software and I haven't had an issue since.

Classic shell is free and I find it works great at getting things back to normal.

OMG you have to pay money to get a start menu? LOL Why are people wanting this OS on a desktop and laptop? I have spent zero time reading about WIN8 as WIN7 works just fine for me. Just curious as to what drives people to want it in the first place?
