Anybody have an ICQ contact for HentaiKey?
 

HentaiKey is one of the sponsors I advertise for on my hentai site. Per Christian Job at HK, I was free to use videos and images from their sites to promote them. No problem, right?

Wrong. I got a notice from my host this afternoon that a DMCA complaint had been filed against me for having their content on my site. An HOUR later, my site was suspended.

So now I'm trying to get ahold of someone from HentaiKey to get this resolved.

Thanks for the bump, brassmonkey! It's killing me. I do what I'm told I'm supposed to be doing and I get f*cking suspended as a result. Just awesome.

I'm not necessarily faulting the webhost. They were just responding to the DMCA complaint. I get that. My beef is w/ HentaiKey. Why tell me specifically "you can use materials from sites X Y and Z to promote us" and then turn around and file the complaint. That's what has me stumped.

Hope you work this out.

It's possible the DMCA guy for hentaikey filed those take down requests lol. Might just be a misunderstanding, try emailing Sau (owner of hentaikey) if you haven't already, or try his ICQ, w'eve spoken a lot on ICQ so I know he's active on it. He probably goes on GFY as much as me these days, which is not very often so posting here about this issue you're having probably wont get his attention.

Tbh I'd highly suggest looking for a new host, suspending your site after 1 hour is not acceptable. Even after 24 hours if my hosts did that to me I'd be gone unless they specifically mention "If content is not removed within 24 hours your site will be suspended"

I believe you. I am already in the process of getting new hosting (Amerinoc). Just waiting for my account to be set up.

Well, the hosting nightmare has at least been resolved. I'm probably putting the lesbian site back up first - I am scared to death to put the hentai one back up until this issue with HentaiKey is resolved.

I'm sure it's a misunderstanding somewhere, but the last thing I want is to get it back online and then get nailed with another DMCA complaint. Ugh.

I'll tell you, these past 24 hours have been a learning experience, to be sure.
