Cant someone create a biological organism to suck up all that crap we don't like ?

So we hound our industries with the EPA. We implement minimum wage laws. But we have no problem with other people making 5 dollars a week living in shitty conditions as long as walmart has cheap stuff.

I don't get it.

The scary part is that China is still in their infancy as a consumer nation. When their entire infrastructure is complete and they are in a position to start supplying themselves with products it can only get worse.

No question, that the US faced similar issues in places like Pittsburgh, Gary, Detroit..but the scale in China is so large that I can't imagine how they will be able to fix everything that's broken over there.

We implement minimum wage laws.

We have no problem with other people making 5 dollars a week living in shitty conditions as long as walmart has cheap stuff.

We should make any imported product meet the same requirements we force our own manufacturers to follow.

You really don't get it. The people who believe the job that the EPA has is an important one are the same folks who tend to think there needs to be a minimum wage and don't like they way Walmart conducts business when it pertains to it's employee's and suppliers.

The folks that are truly happy with all aspects of Walmart Corporations business model tend to have a problem with the EPA, Minimum wage and have an appreciation for Walmarts working conditions.

:2 cents:

Apparently from wood-stoves. Older and less efficient stoves that don't use a secondary burn technology can be quite dirty. The particles get suspended in the colder air and with warmer air on top, get trapped creating the smog. The EPA has cracked down on wood-stoves in the last few years.

IT does get pretty bad there sometimes. Usually each day i go back to my hotel..have a shower then blow my nose. The tissue is black from smog. As in you can see black in the tissue.
Also after a couple days you can feel it in your throat. I stay inside a lot..lol

I would seriously reconsider your trip. It's been reported here in Japan that China's central party has issued a report stating one third to half the population is expected to develop serious health problems. Most of which are irreversible. Especially in children and older people. China can/t/won't fix this. Ghost cities will soon turn into ghost provinces.:2 cents:

And I would seriously reconsider living in Japan. Do you believe the propaganda from Japan that the radioactive seawater from cooling the Fukushima nuclear reactors hasn't contaminated the Japanese water and food supply? Nuclear waste from uranium-235 includes caesium-137, which has a half-life of about 30 years. How's does your radioactive fish and seaweed taste?

marlboroack 01-20-2014 09:33 PM

Where's Philippines? :)

Its all good. We are sending the worst to California. :upsidedow

The skies around Tokyo are clear. Not like those pics of Beijing.
Why do you think the US Ambassador to China literally gave resignation in the am and was on a plane that afternoon?

The apocalypse will be orderly here. Unlike in US. :1orglaugh
