And this is what this is all about, Putin and his fans trying to recapture their past Commie glory, I'm sure 90% of Soviets never got anywhere close to the Crimea. You know you live in a creepy country when you have statues of your fearless leaders staring at you in every public place.

Crimeea is very beautiful, in those days it was the only beach resort where the majority of russians, but not only, spent their vacation.

In one summer i would like to visit it but i think i will need a passport and a visa :)

A very-very-vary stupid assumption, because you know nothing. When I was a kid, I've been to almost any place of Crimea with my father. We were spending every vacation there + Stavropol region and Soviet Georgian Republic (now it's an independent country). Furthermore these tours were free for us - the company where my father worked, paid for them in full. Do yo see how many people are on the photos above? That's because it was very affordable for everybody. It was Soviet Union.

Love Crimea.. spent so much time in my childhood with my parents at Alushta there
