Outside of YNOT, this is the best source of news for the adult industry.

I always kind of see it much in the opposite way. If you listen to the people here you will get nowhere. But that's because it's mostly shills and sig whores. People will tell you to try a known 90% shaver and then three months later they are posting a testimonial for a different scumbag. It's been that way since about 2008 and it's only been getting worse.

Then some guy will be on here bragging and calling everyone else a loser and then six months later you'll see a post from him about getting a real job or going back to school. Either that or you'll see him selling everything for under $10,000 or begging for money or a loan.

Then of course you have the reps and the owners. Everybody scratches each others back for brownie points and the reps do it because well maybe that company will give them a job after their current company has to go out of business! :1orglaugh

The whole business has moved on for better or for worse - GFY has done the same - It's not as busy and the trolls have different names (some of them anyway) - Like the rest of the biz, its harder but its possible to use GFY to your advantage.....

It is true, you get on my icq 204829316 ill show some screen shots, there isn't a website in adult with general traffic with the typical countries that I couldn't make bank. Unless your getting ripped off by your host. TGPs do take time to build now though, having your own hosted galleries and SE traffic is a must.

If GFY made a custom plugin for Vbulletin that hid the threads of the posters on my ignore list that's all I require!

People cry out for business threads, but it was always the fucking around that kept everyone hooked in the first place.

A nice mixture of business and fucking around is ideal, but remember their aren't so many in adult now, and many people know mostly what they need to know for what they do by now. Unlike when i first joined way back and everyone was still learning from scratch almost.

It depend who much he sends to gallery/sponsor. Take 60% of 300,000 (180,000) and then CTR 5% (it is big) - 9,000. So 2-3 sales from 9,000 hits is OK i believe this days.

No man I believe you. 2-3 sales on a 300K network isn't that great though. I mean today it's great to have that much traffic but at $30 per sale average that is $60-$90 a day. It's an accomplishment for the times but if you were around in 2005 then you probably know you would have made $600 - $900 a day with that same traffic.

I don't disagree, I've only said that it would be nice to have an option to filter out the BS for anyone who wishes to use such a function.

Most of the people who post here wouldn't use a filter like that anyway because...

A) They're just surfers who spend all day posting on GFY
B) Still live at home with their parents, some of whom are in there 30s & 40s...

True enough, Ive been here for 15 years, my network is only 2 years old. But yeah, I miss the good old days, but there is also new ways to make money with tgps in these times.

Thats just average, I got sposnors doing 1:2k that is just overall, content is king so I must use sponsors nowadays that dont really convert, but I make up for it in otherways too, I get about 15+ sales a month using aff programs plus there are others Im not mentioning :)

But vs what it cost to run and what you earn, its still worth it, the numbers in $$$ vs the cost of hosting have made it so that the lost of rev since 2008 isnt as bad as one would think feeling out the atmosphere here.

It might have something to do with that most noobs dont have a hole lot of time I guess to build anything that they have to update them selfs.

I keep saying it again and again. I don't think the industry is completely dead. Only that pay sites for affiliates are far in decline and that usually there are other things out there with better returns instead. Because I don't choose to promote pay sites as an affiliate doesn't mean I'm not making money in the industry. At the moment I'm doing well with Dating and growing. But guys like you don't listen.
