Chaturbate = Liars and Exploit their Affiliates. Complete Scam.

I decided to venture into Whitelabels and chose Chaturbate after reading some great articles from 2013. Apparently since then, CB has become complete scumbags and screwed over everyone who helped get them to where they are now (i.e. the advertisers).

Taken directly from their Affiliate page:

Members:
20% rev-share will be paid on all token purchases from referred traffic.
$1.00 pay per free: $1.00 will be paid on all Tier 1 signups, $0.10 on all Tier 2 signups, and $0.01 on all Tier 3 signups referred. Currently invite only.

I will emphasize the last part Currently invite only..

I read that, and thought maybe if I sent them some high quality, converting traffic (all lols aside please), that maybe I could get invited. 20% rev share alone is very low in this industry. 20% rev share plus $1 tier PPL signups would be something worth promoting, as people have done up until a few months ago and been successful with.

I sent them an initial email, acting ignorant yet friendly saying I had received some free signups but wasn't getting any earnings. It said their whitelabel promotion offered $1.00 PPL and 20% Rev share, with the $1.00 being invite only. I requested more information on the latter.

I got a reply within a few hours saying if I wanted to get the $1 PPL I would have to use the link codes in their affiliate section, but that would exclude the 20% rev share. Basically one or the other. I knew about the links, but I was vague in the first email so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and followed up with a more direct email.

This time I explained that I am currently well established on JuicyAds and PlugRush, I have a good stream of traffic that I send weekly to their competitors who offer $2.50+ PPL or 35%+ Rev Share. I decided to try something new and promote their Whitelabel with a small amount of traffic, but $1 PPL or 20% rev share alone was not much of an incentive to stick with their program when their competitors offer much more. However; combining a $1 PPL and 20% rev share is something I would love to promote, and would scale up the traffic if I was invited to join their program.

Pretty straightforward and honest. I waited about a week and put maybe $10 into ads sending them to the new white label in the meantime. Still no reply.

I sent a follow up stating that they were quick to respond to my first email, but now I mentioned numbers and they stopped replying. I informed them that I had ran a very small test and it was only the tip of the iceberg, I was very anxious to scale this up if approved for their invite only $1 PPL & 20% Rev share model. I said it concerns me however if this is how they treat their affiliates who start asking questions (rather than just getting boned...but I excluded that part from the email). I finally got a reply a few hours later.

First; they had the audacity to say that I misunderstood. They said the whitelabel is clearly a 20% rev share only program. If I wanted the $1 PPL, I would have to use their links in the link section and that would exclude the 20% rev share option. Basically regurgitating their first email back to me, ignoring my valid points, and then adding insult to injury tell me that I misunderstood. I was not an ignorant fool who didn't read "invite only" slapped at the bottom of their PPL payments. I thought I could talk about potentially being invited in the future, but they made it clear that they do not invite anyone. I am the one who misunderstood, right. I misunderstood thinking they were a legitimate company when instead they are deceptive, lying scumbags.

Clearly they are throwing around their old payment model as bait to get new affiliates to sign up. Their intentional deception and lack of morals really struck a nerve. I am sending no more traffic them and have switched my domain to one of my consistent programs I have been promoting and doing fine with. I would urge others to do the same, explore your options and consider who is going to be worth sending your traffic to. It is not Chaturbate, but if you would rather learn the hard way then continue wasting your time with them. I will not even bother to suggest alternatives so this doesn't come off as having ulterior motives.

Worse yet, if you google around you will see that many webmasters don't even get paid by Chaturbate. There are also cam girls complaining on these forums saying they are earning less each month with CB and don't understand why. Once they stopped the PPL+Rev Share model they really went scumbag and simply stopped paying. If this shows anything about their lack of professionalism, then you can sure as hell bet they are shaving the ones they do decide to pay.

Luckily, in the end I only sent them 8 free leads. As I said, it was the tip of the iceberg. I am really glad I didn't scale it up and any existing links I have are to my .com, which no longer points to their whitelabel and never will again.

I even mentioned in my initial email that I am a member on several adult webmaster forums and will be posting a review of my experiences with them. They treated me like a fool, and told me that I misunderstood. You will be exploited, get paid less than any other cam site affiliate program, and treated with a complete lack or respect if you choose to promote Chaturbate. I sincerely urge anyone already promoting them, or considering it, to reconsider.

CB's response to you was correct, you were misunderstanding their payout program. From the very beginning it was always one or the other, $1 ppl or 20% revshare. At no time did they ever offer both simultaneously. When they first started they offered the $1 ppl to everyone as an option. After the beta period they went to revshare only, but eventually offered the $1 ppl option as an alternative for those who requested and got approved.

Every cam whitelabel program I've ever seen is revshare only. Also, if you know anything about promoting cams you'd know the $1 ppl is nothing and would opt for revshare anyway. So after only sending them 8 free leads you say they are shaving and a complete scam, you better post proof or you'll be banned. One last thing, do you have another nick Venusblogger?

April 10th is when they switched over, I was not a member before then but was told it was 20% rev share & $1.00 PPL. Their signup page reflects that, only the PPL portion now has an "invite only" added at the end. What kind of cam site would expect to have a single affiliate when they offer 20% rev share or $1 PPL?

I understand how it works, I've been doing fine promoting 35%+ rev share offers. The only incentive I had to try CB was the additional $1 PPL to their lower 20% rev share. Usually I'll split about 20% PPL and 80% rev share so I don't get get screwed on "slow weeks".

Do some research, you will see that they failed with xprofiles and this is their latest scam. I will copy/paste some reviews I have found shedding some light on their scam. And no, this is my only GFY profile.

"Do NOT send one single click of your traffic to wankerbate or whatever its called or his other scam project xprofiles. This guy who runs these failed with his previous wegcash network that proved a big loss (which he still owes me thousands) and is now trying to scam a buck with dating/cam"

"don't invest much in this guy as he'll try everything to weasle out."

"They shave like crazy and will burn everyone soon anyway. it's what they did with xprofiles and weg."

"agree too. Always heard bad things while researching in past to join. I stayed away."

"If you're going to do a WL, you should do it properly. Other major cam WLs avoid mixed branding because it defeats the whole point of a WL, plus it might put customers off if they're confused about what they are signing up to." [Referring to traffic leaks and CB branding plastered all over their whitelabels]

"why dont you guys add at least one person to your support staff. then you willl have one"

"Stay FAR away from Chaturbate. I got stiffed on a $1400 payment a few weeks ago and dug up their whole company profile and found out their history of scamming. Their CEO Jason Zimmerman owns ZMedia which owns Chaturbate and xProfiles started dating sites in mid 2000's and stole money from a LOT of affiliates AND their models, closed up shop, and took off with the money. Then he started Chaturbate/xProfiles with the same crew of crooks and they're back at it. I never did any blackhat with them and they still stiffed me. It's not just me, it's other people on this forum and plenty others that have been screwed. Once you start really earning they stiff you and never give you a reason why. Better networks are [removed] and [removed]. They've always paid me, no problems. But yeah stay away from Chaturbate, sooner or later they'll stiff you on payment and you'll be on here blasting them just like a lot of other people. Stay far away from these scam artists."

"100% this

WegCash was another project of them that scammed affiliates. They are extremely shady."

"Beware guys!

I've used their PPF affiliate program for a month only. I've send them lost of US traffic which converted to 200+ sing-ups. The referrer was not blanked and I've emailed them before I've stared my campaigns and have told them from where the traffic will come. There is only restriction to email traffic in their TOS, mine wasn't from emails or spam, but I still got banned for no reason and with no warnings.

They've canceled my account few days before the pay date. I've emailed them 5 times to ask them why I was banned, but no one ever replied to my mails.

Don't waste your time with them."

"Add them to SHIT LIST"

"Please brother send me their Skype Id as my account just banned today i have 171$ in Affiliate and today is day for payment. I need to pay my bill's but it really hurts when my account banned for no reason :'("

I can find more, but it would be redundant at this point. Would a legitimate company have an abundance of negative feedback? Nope.

You were told wrong, it was never both and their signup page does not say its both, it merely gives 2 different payout options. As I said, in the very beginning, they only offered $1 ppl and then eventually offered revshare as an option and made the $1 ppl program invite only.

CB offers a tipping platform along with a large amateur model base including couples, something that is rare in cams. If you have amateur traffic that matches their content then you'll do very well with 20% revshare on CB vs the 30% on the standard ppv cam programs. MFC has an invite only 20% revshare program and webmasters have been trying for years to promote them.(they can get 15% now via Crakrev)

If you don't like their payout %, then don't promote them. No need to post a bunch of misinformed garbage because you think their payouts are low. Your entire rant is based on your confusion over their payout program, even though CB tried to explain it to you. You can do a search on any affiliate program and find complaints.

faxxaff 05-16-2014 03:11 AM

Hmmm, badmouthing chaturbate and promoting crak. This screams of poor sponsor picking.

Mediamix 05-16-2014 03:16 AM

As long as Chaturbate sends me money, I don't complain.

I have promoted them from the start and find them great.

I asked to go to the 20% because it pays far more than $1 sign up.

I do not understand why people send $1 sign ups, unless they are sending traffic that they know will not convert, and so basically they are doing something dodgy.

If I was on $1 per sign up I would be on not much. But 20% pays great.

gnawledge 05-16-2014 05:36 AM

I'm not buying any Chaturbate scams from some idea. They pay, pay on time and most people do well by them.

signupdamnit 05-16-2014 05:40 AM

As others stated you misunderstood. They were always either the $1 PPL (actually I think at first they were going to only pay $0.50 but they increased it) or the 20% revshare. They do have a sketchy past as a company and people have complained about leaks in their program. I wouldn't blame you for moving on if you have better alternatives. For most people it probably isn't very hard to find a better paying competitor (see below).

Of the stats I have seen posted about 75% were at a $1 or less per free average when doing revshare. So it's not always true that revshare is best on Chaturbate.

Phoenix69 05-16-2014 05:47 AM

I'm going to keep it short :

Your rant only asserts that you have no fucking idea how their payout program works.
You spent $10 on advertising - noted - congratulations - that's impotence in another disguise.

Chaturbate have earned their respect from me - they pay on time every time and they
have a platform that gets customers to stick around and spend.

I earn triple and four digit figures from them twice a month - I don't post much and keep private ( I skim and read GFY mainly ) and it takes a real fucking imbecile to make me need to write and say - go fuck yourself and your stupidity.

Do you get paid per word to write this?

CPA-Rush 05-16-2014 10:08 AM

that doesnt make them really scam. but i agree they are noobs and totally rubbish with utter sense of power

JA$ON 05-16-2014 10:34 AM

Id say the title of your thread was a bit strong. And while its not "right" on their part and I think all affiliates should get good treatment....sending $10 of traffic over a week is not going to get any program to bend over backwards.

In my experience, I find it FAR better to send a good amount of sales as quick as possible at the highest listed payout (even if its not what I really want / need to keep promoting them) then approach them and let them know if they want me to continue on or ramp up further, they need to meet my payout needs or at least meet me in the middle. Every program has affiliates all day long who have sent no sales hammering them for higher payouts before they even begin sending. Send them sales, show them why they SHOULD pay you more. Doing it this way I find that 90% of the time I get what I ask for...or close too it.

Yes, either one or other, your choice. This is for other cam programs too - it would be too nice they pay for free signups AND pay signups both :)

Nope.

Im sorry to hear you misinterpreted the details of our affiliate program. Jason was an investor but he is no longer involved with day to day operations. We dont shave and we always pay out, unless you were flagged for fraud.

Forget the $1 ppf go with the 20% on your own white label and make some real money:2 cents:

I sincerely urge anyone already promoting them, or considering it, to reconsider.

so this is the matter of small affiliate? 8 leads, i have been doing some tests on certain sites n i have way better results and i've just been around last 2 days :winkwink:

I recommend also BongaCash as an alternative to Chaturbate.

You may ask why? Very simple:

Unless you really don't care about the SE traffic, then go with the non indexing Chaturbate wl

Unless you really don't care that the company's logo is spread all over your wl, then go with Chaturbate

Unless you really don't care between 2.5$ PPL for the good countries, in comparison with 1$ PPL, then go with Chaturbate

Unless you really don't care that BongaCash wl's have also alternative payments like SMS or Bitcoin for people which don't trust to put their credit card upfront or their credit card is not accepted because of their country, then go with Chaturbate

Unless you really don't care that some countries, that still could bring you money, are banned from registering on the site, then use Chaturbate

BongaCams is the ONLY cam website that succeed to convert the traffic that everybody banned it, like China, India, Arab countries.

At this performance, not only Chaturbate but also NOT ANY OTHER cam program succeeded to convert that traffic. It's so funny, everybody runs away from that traffic by banning those countries and Bonga makes money out of it.

It makes me smile that some people still ask if they should go with Chaturbate or BongaCash when everything is in your face, come on people, use your common sense!

Due to an increasing number of reported wl's to Google, i prefer to not state my wl link, but if you want to see one, just search on google for the basic keywords related to sex cams and you will find enough bonga wls :)

Perhaps you could explain to me, how the sliding scale revshare works with bonga? I asked and was told that i was trolling.

So tell me, how do you ahieve a higher payout with bonga?

xpimp 05-17-2014 06:05 PM

Well, i don't know how the sliding scale revshare works and i don't consider that i'm in the position to ask at this time. First, i consider that i need to solidly qualify with my traffic and then ask more questions.

If you're testing a new program, why the hell would you start big? I invested $10 as I said for a trail run while I waited (over a week) for CB's reply. I wasn't about to dump triple digits into promoting a new offer, that's what my other consistent earners are for.

You could easily be earning a lot more if you did your research. Also, good luck when they randomly ban you because you're earning more than they would like to pay.

You are ignorant and completely missed the point, if I wanted to brag then I would share some stats of the programs I promote regularly; but that's not the point.

The point is all of the negative feedback swirling around CB, and those who promote them don't do their research. Their affiliate signup page is intentionally deceptive, and they have very poor customer support. 1 week+ turnaround for questions, and they copy/paste the same pre-made replies rather than answer your question(s). There are still webmasters/affiliates that they owe thousands of dollars and won't pay. There are camgirls on these forums who are getting less each month from them and don't understand why.

You are all free to make your own decisions. I'm going to try a Bonga whitelabel, and thank you to the member who posted that alternative.

You will see there are many reasons not to choose CB if you read what the competitors are doing better. Clean WL's, no traffic leaks etc.

It's not "omg I paid $10 in advertising and didn't get $10 back." I couldn't care less about that.
