Trading Shirts After A Match
 

Is there a story behind that?

After losing 2-0, the last thing I'd want is my opponent's dirty sweat-wet shirt.

Is it based on a specific tradition?

In many sports it is a sign of respect for your opponent.

i will trade my Tshirt with c.ronaldo's

i'd encourage it for women beach volleyball

its just a souvenir for the players

If you beat me at soccer, I will shake your hand and congratulate you.
I do not want your dirty laundry.
Just a note in case we ever play a match. ;)

Some players exchange everything,not just t-shirts,they exchange undies as well.

I participated in a tournament in Italy when I was in 9th grade. It was a mini world cup, with teams from all over the world.

This was something we did at the end of all the matches and I still have the shirts I traded for.

Suarez jersey would be a hot item now

Did you wash them, or keep them 'as-is'?

They were washed and mounted on boards. For the longest time, they hung in my room.
