Everyone knew it was going to happen. City wanted to play it down to the holiday crowds but residents have been seeing the great whites for a long time swimming with surfers.

You expect it to happen every once in a while in California or any place where there are sharks and swimmers/surfers.

Plus I think you are asking for trouble when people fish for sharks so close to people

Was in the water in St. Pete and guys were pulling in baby sharks from the pier, decided not to venture too far out. :2 cents:

Nothing like having a fisherman chum waters where there is swimmers. that sounds pretty safe to me.

Goddamn this is weird. I had a dream last night about people being eaten by sharks that seemed to go on forever.

those swimmers are idiots. They've known that where they swim, right past the breakers, is where sharks swim and it's also where people fish for sharks. As a swimmer, I'd have picked another swimming hole.
