Yep now a days it seems the surfers think its free, not that they care about the costs and what goes on behind the scenes to make it happen,

unfortunately that is the way the industry has evolved,

boy if you were caught with even on picture not licensed in the 90's you were looking at big trouble industry wise and a huge loss of rep, plus back then nothing was free for the surfer except for the teaser content which made them want to pay for more,

Sorry NewOldPlayer, but you're off a bit. First no one is going to admit that they BUY porn. Next, we have some clients in their 70's who spend almost a thousand a month. "Getting it up" is not the only reason guys buy porn.

I'm doing great with membership sales. I also think that people saying ratio's are 1 in 4 or 2K are also just trying to discourage others, None of my sites have ever had numbers anywhere close to that :2 cents:

Edit: Tubes, Cams, Products, these people want everyone to believe membership sales are dead to gain traffic for their own cause.

Wow, ratios like 1:2000 were decent even in 2006. Nowadays give me 1:5000 and that is top notch :)

How do you count that ratio? Per what? Total visitors? Visitors referred, per page view or what?

I'm talking about my total ratio's for membership sites. Of course when I tried tube traffic those all went to shit. I stopped that nonsense and do much better without them.

With the amount of traffic I get, If I got less than even 1 sale per thousand hits I'd be out of business.

A friend who doesnt know I work in porn said this to me the other day. Telling me how stupid people are who pay for porn because so much of it is free now.
Really bummed me out.

Did it really take a friend saying that to you just recently for you to realize that has been the general consensus for some time now? Sorry to sound like a dickhead but.. lol.

On a lighter note.. that is 1 person, in person. Don't let it have such an impact on you. You can reach millions upon millions of others via the internet..

I can't stand when people ask for pics/vids and when I send them a url they say "I don't pay for porn" I pretty much stop talking to them at that point. It's usually guys wanting to shoot that say that. I take it as bs, because everyone pays or paid for porn unless they are pirating/tubing or whatever.

Don't worry, there are still many many people who do pay. And I'm sure some laws will come into play that will change things for the better.
