France may end 35 hour work weeks
Restricting hard workers didn't work. Color me shocked.
"In an interview with a French newspaper before becoming the nation's economy minister, Emmanuel Macron said he's open to loosening strict government regulations that enforce 35-hour work weeks. France's economy has been stagnant for years, and any substantial boost to working hours could improve its competitiveness. The country registered zero growth in the second quarter and is struggling with high levels of unemployment" http://money.cnn.com/2014/08/28/news...html?iid=HP_LN |
it's more like 35 hours of being present at their workplace, the time they actually work is around 15 hours (so I was told by a french friend) ;)
|
It took them this long to work that out ??

The French love have strikes, so this is surely good news for workers.
|
how about other brilliant idea of French government: 75 % tax for everyone earning more than 1 milion euros/year?
