Dog & Cat meat popularity in Switzerland

How popular is eating dog and cat in Switzerland? I was just reading an article saying farmers breed dogs for consumption. Is this a common thing, new trend or not very common over there?

Yeah nothing against eating cat or dog. In the South U.S. they eat roadkill; squirrel, possum, porcupine, skunk etc. I'd eat bugs before cat or dog personally.
