NetFlix - The biggest piece of crap all time

Stupid fucking cheap ass cunts. Buy some fucking bandwidth you fucking moron empty fuckheads so that next time i might be able to watch ONE fucking movie without all the fucking constant stuttering and delays.

Who can watch this fucking shit... I have the fastest fucking internet in the fucking 1st world...don't take fucking money when you can't serve a fucking simple service like streaming a fucking goddamn movie!!!!!!!

I, a smalltime paysite owner serve my customers with top notch streaming movies, while a multinational CAN'T.

Fucking goddamn amateurs.

Now fuck off.... i'll start buying dvd's again. Fucking 3rd world shithead company.

The problem might not be with Netflix's bandwidth, it might be yours. Try this:

1. Run speedtest.net on any computer in your home and see if you have enough bandwidth first. If you should have enough bandwidth but you don't, check to see that something else is not hogging your available bandwidth to begin with. (Someone else watching streaming movies, games, or hijacked router, etc. If you suspect your router is being hijacked, change your router password).

2. If you're watching netflix with a wireless device such as Apple TV, try rebooting the device and your wireless router. (I know this sounds basic but it can really make a difference).

3. Login to your Netflix account and choose a lower bitrate. This will affect image quality of course but its better than trying to watch an intermittent stream.

4. If possible, use a wired connection. I though this sucks but wired Ethernet is much faster than Wifi.

I think the problem might be on your end or somewhere in between... Never had an issue here, runs amazingly quick.

MaDalton 09-20-2014 06:59 PM

I watch Netflix in HD via VPN in Czech Rep without problems...

beerptrol 09-20-2014 07:02 PM

I have shitty DSL and have no problem streaming Netflix. I'm watching Chuck right now.

beemk 09-20-2014 07:09 PM

First of all Amsterdam is basically in a third world country, so it must be the shitty internet in your grass hut. Second how hilarious you think they should roll out the red carpet for your measly $8 a month.

bronco67 09-20-2014 07:48 PM

I think the bandwidth and streaming is good....my problem is that every time I get an idea to watch something, it's not on Netflix streaming.

I'm sorry, but that selection is DVD only.

MrBottomTooth 09-20-2014 08:12 PM

I have a shitty bell dsl connection, around 6 or 7 mbps download speed is my max, and i didnt have any issues with buffering. This is on wired connections.

baddog 09-20-2014 08:14 PM

No problems here; ever.

PeR930 09-20-2014 08:36 PM

Your isp is probably the issue. Google net neutrality.

I have NetFlix with 2 Superior Apple TV devices to match my 2 Superior iPhones and no issues and I'm not even on one of their better plans :1orglaugh I use Comcast though so I know Netflix pays them extra for fast streaming. :2 cents:

This is the only correct answer. :thumbsup

OP's rant only shows how successful the shitbag ISPs have been in unfairly smearing Netflix.

It's nuts that even Hulu Premium has commercials.

Babaganoosh 09-21-2014 05:15 AM

Troll or not, it's disturbing how few of you said net neutrality. I really thought that was an issue that everyone was aware of.

CamTraffic 09-21-2014 06:20 AM

Netflix fucking rules!

If your country is SO great why don't you pick a streaming media provider from there instead?

Barry-xlovecam 09-21-2014 06:25 AM

If you are using a wireless connection, try a cabled connection to the computer -- that is the only time I have had issues with Netflix buffering -- it was on my end. Another thing that would help it to adjust your settings to a lowered bandwidth -- not 1080p HD. In smaller resolutions I don't see that much difference. I have to pay extra for over 250GB a month at ridiculous ISP rates :P

Netflix is the poster boy for net neutrality: Netflix and other video entertainment apps are using 40+% of the Internet's bandwidth. I have Nerflix grandfathered in at $7.99 a month. Netflix is a great value for me but I have limited usage -- 1 - 3 hours a day.

If you look at this compared to the cable television prices you can see the cable TV profits at risk. A Vice President at MCI said to me in the late 1970's that: ''Microwave is like pussy -- you can sell it forever and never wear it out''. Substitute Internet bandwidth for microwave as it is the same thing -- selling air (or arranged io electrons). Building out and maintaining hardware infrastructure is the only hard cost here. ISP's customer call support centers in India are cheap :P

Net neutrality is a real issue to smaller users like us -- people that do under 100TB bandwidth transfer a day. Companies like Google, Facebook, Youtube, Netflix (to name a few) don't really need any subsidy and can afford to pay for higher tier bandwidth -- only if it can be justified by real cost factors and not the loss of profits to ISP's competing entertainment product or the ISP's cable TV profits. That would be an Anti-Trust issue under the Sherman Anti-Trust Act in the USA.

Sorry, I've been on a Criminal Minds binge and hogging the connection.

No netflix issues here. Never had any since I started using netflix.

SomeCreep 09-22-2014 02:59 AM

i dont know how i ever lived without netflix.

michael.kickass 09-22-2014 08:44 AM

Netflix runs great here. No complaints whatsoever.

trevesty 09-22-2014 09:02 AM

It's your ISP; not Netflix. Or your home network setup.

Tam 09-22-2014 09:09 AM

I've never had any issues with it here either - my isp is pretty shitty and Netflix still runs pretty smooth - my net likes to drag ass if too many of the computers on my network are doing too many things on my connection at one time - that's the only time I ever have any issues with mine.

Choopa Phil 09-22-2014 09:13 AM

Everything is a-okay here with Netflix. Ill get the occasional downgrade of picture quality but it will only last a few seconds at most.

Plutocracy 09-22-2014 10:33 AM
