Just realized what i want from life

i have open case on ebay with one guy. he choose economy shipping despite i've warned him it may took from poland to new york 2 months or more (priority takes 4-7 days and it's tracked), he agreed cuz it was cheaper by $5. do you know what is his argument now? (i have send item ofc, took photo at post office with post office lady holding parcel, just in case..) So his argument is:

"i know it may take 2 months, you told me so but after 2 months i could not open case on ebay so i've decided to open it now"

(needles to say it's just one month+ since i've shipped item)

this case helped me to realize what i want from life, this case actually and my other argument with one cretin on other board so my biggest desire is to not meet idiots in my life, i would like to meet and deal with intelligent human beings only, not asking for for genius types, just intelligent enough (you know what i mean).

that is my dream from now, what your's?

had to take any proof. actually on the photo is parcel, address and STAMPED stamps and hands of the lady so if the guy accuse me that i do not send parcel i have proof since once parcel is stamped it can't be returned to my hands. however stupid it may look it's only proof i could take of economy shipping now i'm glad i did this stupidity as you see..

I get it, for a minute there I just imagined that you took a picture of your package being held by a hot post office chick haha

Would it not have been easier to just pay the $5 extra yourself?

Rochard 10-06-2014 11:51 AM

Idiots are everywhere.

I have a friend of mine who has Hydrocephalus (water on the brain) and is more or less partially retarded. He is 50, but operates mentally on the level of a 16 year old boy. His parents have bought him a house and a truck, and he lives his life as a normal adult except for the fact that he is more or less retarded. Any thing he does is difficult because he is treated like an adult, but in reality he is sixteen and can't make a good decision to save his life.

I bet there are millions of people who live on the edge of society like this who pretend they are normal but are really mentally retarded.

This is why I refuse to sell international. It's hard enough getting your item back within your own country much less another. If you send all of your shipping info to ebay and paypal you should be ok. I had an issue with the freight company losing part of the item customer filed a dispute and I showed it was shipped with pictures of the part in question on the pallet and decision was made in my favor. Shipping company never did replace the part.

item i've sold cost $9, sell was for building up confidence with ebay, now it's fucked up by this ridiculus case and i have to wait another month for evaluating my sellers account.

strangely i have very good contacts with mentally retarded ppl, since always, i can talk with them, they usually likes me stuff like this, i have nothing against such ppl that's totally different from plain stupid people which have not this excuse (being retarded).

but i understood what you wanna say: some are retarded and may not know that, in this case i'm doomed :1orglaugh

i love to sell internationally. once i have issue: items comes broken it was send from UK where i've been at that time and went to Brasil - my bad i thought i packed it well, apparently not good enough for fucked up UK royal mail (terrible service imo, much worse than polish post office). beside this one i'm very happy if i can send worldwide, for example: my last item will go tomorrow to Belarus to Minsk, somehow i very satisfied that someone from behind of kind of iron curtain will receive it. once i've sold silver signet with pentagram to some guy in Kazakhstan - also makes me satisfied, it's hard to explain but it gives me sometimes a feeling that world is not that big.

MassMarketing 10-06-2014 12:23 PM

I refuse to ship internationally. Less headaches and no more lost packages.

Why would you even offer a 2 month shipping option?

That would explain why the USA elected Bush twice and then actually thought making a change would have any effect whatsoever on the fucked up mess we have allowed this once great country to become.

dicknipples 10-06-2014 01:52 PM

International shipping is a bitch. We lost $45,000 so far this year on customs.

anexsia 10-06-2014 01:59 PM

I never sell international on eBay, it's just asking for trouble.

Correction,

have you seen the new paypal policy?

Customers now don't just have 90 days.. they have like 190 days to file a complaint now.

So any item you have never uploaded tracking for in the past 2 years.. they file a claim, and you can't produce tracking.. your fucked.

Zero protection for sellers anymore.

Go amazon.

case closed, you were right, i've been perfectly played and scammed by one new york dude for $18, lol...

ebay closed case without even asking me to show them photo as a proof, took my cash which was in holding and refunded fully, now scammer have my cash and will receive my item in 2-3 weeks when economy shippment finally arrive. not to mention i've paid ebay provisions from selling.

don't get me wrong, i don't give a shit about this $18 i just pissed off by being clearly cheated. anything i can do with it or is it lost?

Ebayers can be a pain in the ass. I used to buy storage units and sell the stuff I got in them. Most ebay buyers were cool, but it seemed like about once a week I had to deal with some guy being an asshole. All that said, Ebayers are not nearly as bad as many Craigslist buyers.

I beg to differ. I've been burned by partial refund scammers in the last year on eBay and four years ago, one sociopathic guy posted on Ripoff Report that I seduced an 18 year old model and gave her HIV--all because I had the temerity to reply to his (neutral, not even negative) feedback. At least with Craigslist, you're talking to some dude and he's giving you cash right there. I don't blame people for haggling hard, and TBH, I like haggling myself. I'm never using eBay again to sell anything.

It is true that the pain the ass from ebayers can be bigger because it is online and the feedback system is in place, but the thing that always annoyed me badly with craigslist people is when they would contact me, we would agree on a price and set up a place and time to meet. Then when they get there they want to pay less than we agreed on.

The worse was a guy who was going to buy an old 1970's organ. I said it was very heavy, but it played fine and sounded great. We agreed on a price. He needed to come to my house because it was so heavy I couldn't move it by myself. After playing it and checking it out he asks if I will take $100 for it (we had agreed to $225 on the phone). I told him no, it was $225 like we had agreed. He then tried to tell me that he wanted to pay less because he had to help me load it into his truck (which he agreed to do in both email and on the phone). Finally, I told him I would take $200 and no less. He left.

He came back a few days later and tried to haggle again. This time when I didn't take his offer he started screaming at me and telling me I was an idiot. I was nervous because this dude was clearly nuts and he knew where I lived. He ended up calling a few more times before I told him to stop contacting me and blocked his number.

I also had a woman call about a stacked washer dryer set I once had. I had it listed for $300 just to see what I could get. I had a few offers at $200 and would have been happy to get that. She offered me $75 and told me I would never get more than that. She buys these all day for her boss who manages apartments and knows the prices. I turned her down. I ended up selling it for $200. She called me a few days later screaming at me and telling me she had gotten fired from her job because I hand't come down on my price and her boss fired her since she wasn't able to buy enough washer/dryers.

Fucking CL crazies.

This has happened to me with CL buyers too. Though I feel I have more control dealing with someone right there in front of me, and can always just refuse to sell at a lower price with a CL buyer. eBay has rigged their system way too much towards buyers, and a lot of buyers (scammers) know that, and behave accordingly.

I haven't sold much on ebay recently, but it seems like the fees have gone up so much and things have changed so much it would be much harder to make money from it.

from what i've noticed it's 10% from sale (not sure if it's not change when price goes up, max price i've reach was $140 and i've paid $14 fee, same comes down - $12 transaction was charged $1.2) but setting up auction is free (for first 50 auctions every month (enough for me), so there's cons and pros.

a friend recommended me this site: http://www.17track.net/en/
it's tracking every tracked parcel/envelope even polish one's which are not tracked outside our country by our post service - just checked and looks like 17track is really good service, may be helpful next time, but i'm not planning to offer economy anymore.

druid66 10-09-2014 12:19 PM

asked if i can leave neagtive feedback for this motherfucker, here's ebay response:

""In regards to being able to leave feedback for a buyer. We allow sellers to only leave positive feedback for their customers. What we were finding is when sellers were able to leave negative feedback, buyers were very hesitant to be honest with their feedback out of fear of retaliation from their seller. So eBay decided a few years ago to remove the ability for the seller to leave negative feedback for the buyer."

so, the seller now can't leave feedback? truly gey lobby is ruling united states :(
