Use a server on the Tor network and ask Blake Benthall how it worked out for him.

I've heard that people use prepaid atm cards for this.

As I was pushing the submit button I was laughing about it myself.
Nonetheless for this next project I seek limited anonymity. Paypal is not a problem.
There is something special about the account.

I would have thought it was painfully obvious by now that nothing is anonymous.

Just blur out your info when signing up. Or take a pic of it and send it in!

NALEM... always on the trailing edge of photography and the cutting edge of stupidity.

Wouldn't a host that accepts Bit Coin be a better bet for anonymity?

Excellent point, better than Paypal that's for sure.

I have no idea what the OP is doing but the following could be taken into account.

1. You can be traced back to the hosting if you connect from your own network.
2. You can be traced back to the hosting if you call functions, network connections or scripts from a server that can be traced back to you.
3. ....

The list of things that could make so called anonymous hosting come unstuck are endless.

Everyone forgets about server logging and how co-operative hosting companies are in the face of court orders/subpoenas.

use tails on tor while signing up to host. pay with bitcoin or by cash in envelope :winkwink: go to different city and use public internet center. dont take your phone with you.
use tor while connecting to your server; you may mix it with vpn. use some virtual machine or better yet - other system - while connecting to your host.
and so on... not so impossible actually to be anonymous/ harder to track

Correct. Even so called Anonymous VPN services would buckle under any sort of legal pressure. The ads for Anonymous VPB services on TorrentFreak always make me chuckle.
