CitySex / CECASH Referral Payment Issue
 

Hello all. Would like to not to take this to the boards but I have no other option.

Haven't really been doing much affiliate wise the last few months but was going to get back into it so was looking around some accounts and I saw that I referred to CitySexCash what looked like a affiliate who was sending them a decent amount of traffic and sales and I was owed a nice chunk of money.

I hadn't received any payments yet but it looks like my payment info was wrong so I emailed them to get everything corrected and the money sent out.

I finally got a response from [email protected]:

Thank you for contacting me regarding your account. We updated our payment structure not too long ago and it looks like your Payee ID did not make the transition. I apologize if you did not receive notification. Could you please take a moment to update your banking details with the following token: (Had to associate a new Payoneer account).

Please let me know when registration is complete and we will send the pending payment without delay once the account is approved (usually within a day or two)

Account 41607 has a pending balance of $1751.40 (thru 11/03/14)

But I was owed over $4,000? What was this number? I sent an email back and got an email back from Adam:

I believe there is some error on the referral.

I work with the account 49654 personally. They do not know you and their account already has a referral associated with it from another company.

How do you believe you referred them?

Me: I run it on my sig on gfy and recommended as a good dating program you on a webmaster forum where I know some whales hang out.

How would I know who clicks on a referral link and signs up under me and how would they know who I am? That's absurd.

Of course there has been no response since and when I look at my account now:

That affiliate and the money owed has been removed.

I am at a loss of what to do here? Advice?

UMm, internal error mixup..lol. We accidentally signed him up under you.

That shit is the lowest of the low. There are referral systems in place for a reason. Apparently theirs was working improperly.. As in, actually crediting you.

Then they were going to cut you a check.. For partial payment.. But you had to say something.. Like, can I please get what I'm owed?

Let's hear it from them.

Translation: "I'm taking the commission for myself" either that or "the boss doesn't want me to pay you". Many people look at it as you having "done nothing" and that basically "they are paying you for nothing". That is why whenever I see a rep or owner brag about "how much money they made affiliates" I RUN the other way. They didn't make any money for affiliates, the affiliate EARNED it just as you earned your commissions under the agreement!

UPDATE:

ok the cecash/citysex cash guys reached out to me last night and we had a conference call. while my bullshit meter was going off i took the call and listened to what they had to say.

after going through their stats backend with them i eventually got my head around what they had discovered, that yeah there was an error where i was being credited someone else's referrals. as much as i would have liked to fight with them i had to come around with what they were showing me.

they could explain better the details of what actually went wrong than i can, but i'm confident it was just a fuckup ... though i would have preferred those commissions to be actually mine : (

anyway, don't let this thread stop you from doing business with these guys and their properties. they did nothing shady or wrong. though i know everyone likes drama, i consider this case closed.
