Want to transition to Merchant Account
Hi, recently our company has been pushing some subscription sales through paypal because of their cheaper rate. Of course now Paypal is no longer supporting adult sales, so I'm looking to setup our own merchant account for processing.
Going through posts, I've narrowed it down to a few options: 1. Authorize.net w/ Wells Fargo Merchant Account 2. Epoch w/ Merchant Account 3. Netbilling w/ Merchant Account Got any final pro's or con's for me? We process alot of sales from Asia and US. Under 8% per transaction with nominal fee would be super! Thanks, -dave youngflesh |
You want to signup with a merchant company that doesn't charge for set up charges. Many of them are charging to accept Visa.
Do a Google search for merchant accounts. Check out http://www.dutchbilling.com |

I tried to join a site today with "dutchbilling" ( to see what it is before I promote it: I care for my members and traffic) and got my 3 valid credit cards declined! I used there other card processor, and had no problem to pay... but the u/p combination doesn't work! I suppose they are going to tell me I do not know how to enter it ... lol. No way I will promote that site! But in conclusion, scrubbing is high and declines many... |

I gotta say right now... netbilling is sorta sounding good since I think they'd be there to hold my hand during setup. -dave |
Your better off going through a third party biller, and spreading it around! I know some folks that can set this up if interested!

And I don't mean ibill, ccbill etc...

Myself and my staff will take care of you like no other company can. Do not go with a thrid party billier that does merchant accoiunt gateway processing as an afterthought. Netbilling gives you ALL of the tools for success and will help you every step of the way. Just a little test.... pickup the phone right now and call Authorize.net and ask for support. They do not have any after 5PM. They also mostly work with resellers so you usually have to go through the reseller to get any help at all. Now pickup the phone and dial 888-357-8166. You will get a live rep on the phone to help within a few rings. 24/7/365! We look forward to serving you. Tell our sales staff that "Mitch said no setup fee". That will save you $199. See you all in Phoenix! Thank you, Mitch Farber |
Hi Mitch,
already talked to one of your sales rep's. Hopefully have some response tomorrow! Thanks :) -Dave |

No, not dead yet...
Mitch, I wanted to ask you, I have a (fledgling) online toy store on my adult site for women and do home parties selling toys and what not... and am looking for a merchant account and credit card processor that I can do both through. Is NetBilling capable of that? I was going to sign up for AuthorizeNet and just have a web "credit card machine" at my toy parties. Thoughts? ~ EG (my store is at http://www.hiddenself.com/store.html if you're curious) |

We can certainly help you setup processing for your online store and your in-home parties as well. You can save the orders and use our virtual terminal after the parties are done, or real time with any internet access. We can help you get a swipe terminal that will work from your cell phone if you wish. The options are numerous. We are not only an internet processing company. Netbilling does retail as well. Please call Toll Free within the US: (888)357-8166, or Outside the US: (661)252-2456 so that we may answer all of your questions and get you setup with Netbilling Services. We look forward to hearing from you. Thank you, Mitch Farber |
Mitch
Can you set up a merchant account for someone who lives only in Canada ? If so, would I have to then be charging gst? if so then 7%+8% = 15% and I am better off with 3rd party. Comments? |
Mitch...
Thank you for your information. I just called and have never been more confused about what processor to go with... though I do know that it won't be yours. To use your company for my needs, I would need to pay: $199 set up fee (which is waived because I met a NetBilling rep at InterNext) $25 monthly fee $.45 for every transaction PLUS if I use the bank your company reccomends: $100-$200 set up fee $20 monthly statement fee $25 monely fee 2.5% + $.30 per transaction fee SOOO up to $400 to get started $70 in monthly fees $2.5% + 75 cents for every transaction And, I'm just starting up... to be paying that much in fees start ups seems a bit much. I'm feeling like I'm in one of those commercials for banks that charge fees for so many things that you owe them money. Sorry to sound so spicy, I'm just in disbelief that it is that expensive to accept credit cards. Does anyone have any easier/cheaper ideas? ~EG |

Netbilling's fees are EXTREMELY price competitive. There are cheaper gatways out there that do not offer fraud scrubbing, 24/7 customer service, less than 4 hours of downtime per year, extensive reporting etc... If you compare our fees (incuding the merchant account) compared to other processors in the adult space, you will see that we charge about 50% less for credit card and check processing. Please feel free to contact me if you want to look at the #s and do some comparisons. Toll Free within the US: (888)357-8166 Outside the US: (661)252-2456 ICQ: 117496436 Thank you, Mitch Farber |
If you're looking at third party processors, the costs are a lot more. The set up fees may be lower, but 15% processing plus a 10% reserve is standard.
On a $24.95 membership, the comparison would be: Netbilling (2.5% + $0.75) - $1.37 total fees 3rdParty (IBill, CCBill etc.) - $3.74 plus $2.50 reserve that you can't touch for 6 months If you have a decent sized member base, the money you save would easily cover the start up fees. |
