Over 25 women expose breasts in central London to protest

Anyone who has a problem with women engaging in the most vital part of being a mother while out in public has serious psychological issues. Babies need to eat. The most nutritious foods is the mother's milk. Really fucking simple. If a dumb man or cunt woman has an issue with it then please remove yourselves from society. This is not directed at anyone in this tread just at the assholes in public who complain.

I think Claridges were correct.
As a father of 2 girls (one is still breastfeeding, 9 months). I can't see any logical reason why a woman would need to whip her boob out in a public place without being discreet about it. My wife bought a breastfeeding cover up thing which is basically just like a sheet that you tie round your neck which does the job great. With our first she always used something to cover up. Don't get me wrong, if I saw a woman breastfeeding and wasn't covering I wouldn't be offended, ashamed, outraged or embarrassed but I can see how some would. |

I think its perfectly normal to set certain standards for an establishment, like places who require a tie or jacket for men would probably have expect the women to be dressed appropriately and feed their new born in a discrete way. When I'm eating I don't want to look at some chicks nipples and what not. I'd also prefer that that my kids are not exposed to this. What if the baby doesn't eat enough and the mom need to pump the rest, I'd that ok? Why shouldn't I expect that a mom should show some etiquette the same way the rest of the society? Having a child is not a disease and you really shouldn't be treated differently just because you choose to have a child. I have no problem with people who are discrete. If you have a problem with that I think you are just looking for ways to put yourself in the victim role so you can blame someone else for your miserable life. |

I highly doubt that those mothers got fucked in a public park while doing the most basic human function...procreation...and most would agree that that is NOT something that should be allowed or even viewed while eating at McDonald's so why the fuck would anyone want to see some woman pull out her utter to feed her spawn in public? I certainly do not want to see it and clearly I am not alone in this feeling. |
Sad thing is, the arguments never line up. These woman say it's their right to feed their child, those arguing are simply saying cover up.
While managing a family restaurant a decade ago, I had to ask a woman if she would feel more comfortable feeding her baby in our office, or in a more private setting and she lost it. Start bitching me out for being chauvinist, sexist, yadadada. I told her that quite a few people had complained that they were bothered by seeing her with her shirt half off in the middle of a restaurant while eating. I had 4 complaints about her, "all from women". Nope... it was her right to expose her self in front of 100 people who were having lunch. It was sad, especially after her husband demanded that their meal would be free because of it. No one told her to stop or even cover up, just if she'd feel more comfortable going somewhere a little more private. Some people just want a reason to bitch and complain. |
