Paul Markham blog post

Paul specifically asked that this entry be posted. Weeks ago! Sorry about the delay Paul, wherever you may be!

The past, present and future online porn.

L-Pink 12-11-2014 04:59 PM

Knowing Paul it's probably 32 pages, not clicking.

ReggieDurango 12-11-2014 05:23 PM

It's actually pretty succinct! I think Paul is learning about less is more in regards to posts..

MrBottomTooth 12-11-2014 06:40 PM

That blog fails the responsive design test because of the social media ''tool'' and the fonts being of fixed size -- the internet is 50% not Flash enabled and mobile now.

The right side bar ads are lost in both the simulator (Firefox development tools Paul -- you are probably reading this :) ) and in the real world mobile with the social media icons not loading as there was some certificate issue warning in my Android browser ... Welcome to 2015.

The old marketing values we used in 1980 don't work today like they used to. HTML5 will change the future media outlets and peer to peer communications exponentially. Shadow banking and peer to peer services like Uber are setting new market trends and will cause technological and business model disruption.

A lot of what we have done is going to be an historical footnote ... The old marketing of porn, even that of the early Internet, is over. Porn will never die but its composition, its reason an its method of delivery will change -- these touchpoints are evolving all the time.

Yes, because of some flash banner for cam times, it caused havoc with my responsive site. All sorted now :thumbsup

This is the same old argument in disguise - "content is better than traffic".

ITraffic 01-25-2015 08:46 AM

Spank me for mentioning all the “traffic is king” clowns who can’t find enough traffic to sell average content, let alone shit. LOL
