Fact: Sugar is making you sick (VIDEO)

Scientific team sounds the alarm on sugar as a source of disease

Markul 01-03-2015 05:07 AM

This is not news. But sadly for many I guess it is :(

Sugar, processed food and shit made from corn = poison.

shoot twice 01-03-2015 05:17 AM

You know I knew a girl that was a little "Thick" both physically and mentally. She couldn't figure out why she was over weight then one day she say's to me "It's cheaper for her to eat Mc Donalds every day than it is to go grocery shopping. But Mc Donalds can make a person fat so she just drinks diet coke."

Only in America is this sort of thing "NEWS."

Barry-xlovecam 01-03-2015 06:21 AM

Video is too long but I peeked into it around :50 to :56

Fructose is not toxic and ethanol is the most toxic carbohydrate ... Cheers :drinkup

Quote:

The average American consumes 19.5 teaspoons (78 grams) of sugar a day, substantially more than the amount recommended by the American Heart Association. The association sets these limits: 6 teaspoons (24 grams) for women, 9 teaspoons (36 grams) for men, and 3-6 teaspoons (12-24 grams) for children, depending on age. Just one 12-ounce soda contains 8 to 9 teaspoons (32-36 grams) of sugar.
The added sugar and natural sugar is on the labels but you have to read them (or be able or willing to read). (Maybe, he means remedial reading lessons?)

Glycemic Index (GI) should be considered.

XXXBizXXX 01-03-2015 06:23 AM

salt and sugar are the most dangerous white powders in the world.

seeandsee 01-03-2015 07:36 AM

pornguy 01-03-2015 08:28 AM

Remove sugar and drop a few pounds as well.

brassmonkey 01-03-2015 09:53 AM

yeah and city air turns your lungs tar black :helpme ever hear of that find??

bronco67 01-03-2015 10:07 AM

The worst thing about sugar is not just the empty calories...it trains your system to become a fat storage depot.

seeric 01-03-2015 10:19 AM

Yep.

I have been screaming about this stuff for over 10 years at this point.

The government and big businesses have sold the health of the people down the river for increased profits. Processed food is far cheaper to produce and returns higher profit margins.

Much of this processed food is new (15-20 years), so they won't know the long term effects of it on people and our evolution for many, many more years.

When I don't eat sugar and processed foods, EVERY problem that I have goes away. EVERY SINGLE ONE. As soon as I bring it back, the problems start all over.

No surprises here. Hopefully people start to listen more.

:2 cents:

Here's something else that will knock your socks off.
I lost 35lbs in 2 months and cut my food bill in half by getting rid of plastic in my food!

Food gets toxified by the chemicals in the plastic and when you eat that food you're somehow always hungry!

When I go grocery shopping if the food is in a plastic container or sitting on Styrofoam... I simply do NOT buy it. I look for an alternative that's in glass bottle or wrapped in paper. Even if it costs a little more because I save money because I'm not hungry again 30mins after eating.

the article should clarify that ADDED sugar makes people sick. Just saying sugar makes you sick means people will interpret that as fruit makes you sick. I've cleared up that misconception more times than I would like.

as for losing 35 pounds in 2 months by cutting out plastics, well.

Antonio 01-03-2015 10:51 AM

Another major BS - sugar is so fucking awesome. I fucking love sugar, give me chocoloate bars, cookies, and cake and I need nothing else!

Seriously doubt it was the plastic. It would be hard to lose 35 pounds in 2 months by cutting of you leg.

Maybe it has to do with food wrapped in paper being less processed because it's wrapped on location.

I dont get the styrofoam though, are you saying minced beef sitting on styrofoam is somehow less nutritious than wrapped?

Don't get that eighter? Usually there's an absorbing pad under the meat and the styrofoam :2 cents:

Styrofoam is a type of plastic.

Now this isn't as weird as it sounds. We all heard of how Bisphenol A (B.P.A) in plastic is bad for your health because it leaches into whatever touches. (( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3_c...k50RGr-swl1LCr )) Well it's not just BPA because plastics are made from many many different sources of petrol-chemicals and with different recipes. And plastic companies protect the secret of those recipes.

The food that comes into contact with the plastic absorbs some of the chemicals and can either toxify or destroy the nutritional value of the food. (Sometimes both) All I know is that I stopped always being hungry when I switched to food in glass bottles, food wrapped in paper and fresh produce.

shoot twice 01-03-2015 12:17 PM

Here's a list of the kinds of plastic our food comes in contact with

1) Poly Ethylene Terephthalate
Destroys the kidney, bladder and brain functions

2) High Density Poly Ethylene
Liver damage and brain function

3) PVC
Hormone disrupter, liver and testicle cancer, birth defects and learning disablities

4) Low Density Poly Ethylene
Made using : (a)Benzene which causes Leukemia (b) Hexane a known carcinogen

5) Poly Propylene
Causes brain tumors. Plus Lead and Chromium are used in its manufacture

6) Poly Styrene (aka: styrofoam)
A Neuro toxin that gets stored (for years) in our fat cells. Also been shown to destroy chromosomes on contact

7) Poly Carbonate
Attacks the endocrine system

No shit (well, at least excessive amounts of sugar). But repetition is the key.

SekobA 01-04-2015 06:04 AM

who want sweets

incredibleworkethic 01-04-2015 06:37 AM

I can't handle the highs and lows of sugar. It just makes me feel like shit. I'm talking about added sugar. Fruit sugar still counts as carbs but doesn't hurt my mood or give me those highs and lows refined sugar gives me.

I'm experiencing that right now. I've seriously cut back on sugar in the last couple of years, and try to avoid it at all times. Sometimes, I can't avoid it like at my niece's birthday party yesterday. I know I can make my own choices, but I had three cupcakes + 2 sodas and I feel like shit today.

Depending on the cupcake I might have some (as long as not that crappy red velvet cake) but I cannot imagine the circumstances that would cause me to drink 1 soda much less 2. Although I did take a sip of an old school soda at a bottle share last night, but just one small sip.
