Beeg vs Traditional Tube site display?

Hi all!

I'm currently in the process of cosmetic design for my Adult tube site and I'm pretty torn on how I want to display the videos.

Im a big fan of Beeg because its simple and clean looking, but Im not sure how other viewers like it. I don't see a lot of tube sites like them, vs a traditional tube site which has ratings, descriptions, and suggestions with it etc.

Which do you prefer, from a business perspective and personal. Is one more profitable for traffic and viewers. Again any additional info would rock my socks!

Thank you!

Beeg is cool. Pop ups and flashing banner ads all over the shop are a pain in the arse.

From personal perspective I like more traditional. Video title is good to show cause it may lure people to watch it. Rotating thumbnails are good also, so users can see quick preview if they are interested about that video.

From business perspective I also like traditional, cause if videos has ratings, descriptions etc. things, then we can add more rich snippets for SEO.

If you like to try something that is not traditional, maybe you can have ideas from these: Thumbzilla.com and Sex.com.

If you refer to the homepage design, then yes: I'd go traditional as well. You can make it look more cool, but keep the traditional elements that you mentioned.
However, if you have the possibility to design the video page, there I'd go beeg style. A clean, big display who apparently is uninterrupted by ads, can really help you gain loyal returning visitors. You just have to upload quality videos and expect not to make a lot of money in the beginning..
Also, be sure to design it responsive or mobile friendly. Make a list of 5-10 sites, find features you like, adapt and apply. Good luck!

Beeg uses the tactics of not displaying video titles on Homepage and hiding descriptions under click on a button on video pages. This are serious SEO flaws, since Google has stated that they don't take hidden content into consideration when ranking pages.

From a consumer perspective, I wouldn't care for it. I would prefer to have some idea of what I'm clicking on.

From my view i choose traditional tube site, with title, description, etc. with that we can choose wheres the good video to watch

Put big titles on those videos so granpa can see what it's all about :D Learn to write enticing ones too. Plus, titles get indexed in search engines as well ;) And since SE's love text, drop a short description as well.

Thing about SEO before you go with the Beeg design
