How big can a Wordpress Site be?

I am working on new site for some mainstream project. Currently it is based on WP but there are many difficulties because of map plugin ( I guess that is main reason, not sure yet). So I was wondering should I make completely new and custom website from scratch of hire advanced WP programmers to rebuild it? What do you think ,will this be a smart and reliable solution?

From what I am reading, many big names are using WP, for example:

Thank you

No need to rebuild it.

Get an expert in WordPress optimization and scaling.

A site can be optimized 10x-25x without advanced work in most cases. Sometimes it can go up to 100x.

In this case, it has to be rebuilt because we need new features. It is based on theme with many bugs. It is just question should it be based on WP or coded from scratch

This question can't be answered here as there's too many questions unanswered. I would hire a consultant for some hours to give you a proper answer.

It'll save you money in the long and you'll take the best decision.

You want to use Wordpress, I would say. You dont want to be in a situation, when you are redoing the whole cms, if it is already there (also you have all the plugins, themes, and people working on these things). You wont be able to do all of this yourself, and it is not worth it.

No need to get into too many details here, but you create a simple php cms, then you need to add categories, url slugs, things like that. Why work on this if it is already there.

My site Teasing and Humiliation | Femdom Destiny have 1500 posts. And it works fine. I guess that it depends on plugins used. In my case, it seems that map plugin is problem.
