Linking directly to join page, worth it?

Anyone has tried it? From galleries or blog posts, is it worth it?

NatalieK 01-30-2015 04:50 AM

A text link with 'get full access here' could link to billing purchase page, but the photo should link to the fhg or a larger photo etc.

Some people do like to impulse buy :thumbsup

DamageX 01-30-2015 05:18 AM

If you presell it properly it should work well. Blindly linking to the join page probably won't.

ITraffic 01-30-2015 05:23 AM

is this day and age probably the same results linking to the exit page.

Paul&John 01-30-2015 05:33 AM

Tried it with galleries but no luck

One way is to make your page in between that sells and then skip the tour. Old school thought was those big tours with lots of content were being bookmarked and used to wank. Your code would not get the sale then maybe. So shortening the tour was the goal. It was all the rage for a while.

The most effective way this works, in my experience, is to basically build your own tour with a link to the join page directly. In this way, you can funnel and presell the visitor based on your own traffic demographics, and then split test it accordingly to determine the maximum return you can get, which tour works best, etc.

Kafka 01-30-2015 06:23 AM

Should you join directly or do you want to see what the site has to offer?

iamBoogieman 01-30-2015 06:33 AM

Nice infos Here. :thumbsup

I was thinking doing it like this:
Have a blog post with a girl's amazing photo. That photo and the links on the post go directly to the site's join page. Or to the girl's profile page, which also links to the join page. That way the surfer doesn't get flooded with hundreds of other girls, and focuses on her. For instance:
Hung Shemales

The only way to know for sure is to split test, but you'll need enough traffic to have meaningful results. Like, enough to see how long it takes to get 5-10 joins using each method. For a lot of blogs that could take years.

Spot on. Too few people choose to go by others' experiences and never test things for themselves. What works for my traffic may not work for someone else's.

You'll never know until you test, really.

agreed :thumbsup

Depends on a persons traffic to another persons traffic.

Wondering, can a pay site tour have too many sign up buttons? :2 cents:

Tom_PM 01-30-2015 09:44 AM

Used to do it quite a lot with success. Even going so far as to buy domains similar to the sponsor (with their knowledge and approval) to host my own tour. I would suggest, even if it's an available linking option, to ask the sponsor to look over your offering once you complete it, or before beginning. You don't want to inadvertently mislead the consumer to think the site offers something it doesn't.

I would also suggest that your own tour have NO LINKS ANYWHERE EXCEPT TO THE JOIN PAGE. Do not get in the mindset of "well if they don't want this, then they can click here to my hub page". Terrible mistake. Link to the place you make money, and that's it! You would not believe how many times people would come to me to ask how to improve their PPC landing pages and they were packed with "just in case" links all over creation.

If they voluntarily clicked to your tour, they want to buy! Just link them there and if they don't like it, they will click their back button or close the window. Do NOT pretend you can guess that someone might want midget porn instead and link to every midget porn site you ever heard of from your custom teen porn tour!

Good luck.

Slip some code on the page so on the 5th image view (or whatever works best for you) surfer is directed to join page ;)

The Porn Nerd 01-30-2015 10:46 AM

When it comes to paysites my feeling is: join, jpon, join! Meaning, get them to the Join page ASAP. We sometimes forget that surfers are...ready?.....human beings! They have the capacity to hit the 'back' button (believe it or not). So get those puppies to the Join ASAP.

A study done last year shows the average surfer (porn and mainstream) visit 150 web pages a day, on average. These may be the same site visited many times (hello GFY!) but that's a lot of clicking around. My stats also show most people do not spend more than 3 mins on a site (max) so surfers are making decisions FAST these days. Do some bookmark and take time to think about joining? Sure. But my thinking is when you have that person on your site make sure you funnel them to the Join with every click. This means every image goes to the Join. Want a bigger pic to wank off to? JOIN MOTHERFUCKER!!

So it depends on your Join page and how enticing it is. Try it, test it, rinse and repeat. Good luck!! :)

Nowadays, it's difficult to make any affiliate sales (mainstream, adult, whatever) without a proper "warm up". Blindly linking to any join page is much less likely to be effective than rolling your own warm up (which is what the "direct to join" is actually for).

iwantchixx 01-30-2015 12:08 PM

I link to our join pages often from blog network. Usually if I feature a video, I put a join link right under it with good pre-sell text as the text link. Give a reason to join and link it right to the join form.

Yup, this is a decent warm-up step. :thumbsup

truth. Too many factors that vary in between.

Rochard 01-30-2015 07:30 PM

Why link? Why not embed the join form into every page - imagine if every gallery had a form embedded into it. Not too difficult kids.
