just picked up some Creed 'Vetiver Geranium'.... wow great stuff....

http://images.neimanmarcus.com/ca/6/...NMC1P16_mk.jpg

The Acqua Originale Collection is Master Perfumer Olivier Creed's living fragrance journal of countless globetrotting journeys with the fine art of perfumery as the narrative. The Island of Java, Olivier's favorite destination east of Bali and just south of the equator, served as inspiration for Vetiver Geranium. The accord brings to life Indonesian vetiver that adorns the mountainous rolling hills of its native landscape and pairs the sensual, soothing essence of geranium to create a vibrant juice. Handpicked crisp granny smith apple, bergamot and lemon make a luminous debut, while warm cinnamon and rose lead to hearty patchouli, cedar and relaxing amber.

Top Notes: Crisp granny smith apple, bergamot and lemon
Middle Notes: Vibrant geranium, warm cinnamon and rose
Base Notes: Hearty patchouli, cedar, musk and relaxing amber

100 mL/3.4 fl. oz.

About Creed:
Founded in 1760 and passed from father to son, Creed is the world's only privately held luxury fragrance dynasty. Based in Paris, the company today is led by Olivier Creed, a sixth-generation master perfumer. Creed is famous for unrelenting high standards when it comes to fragrance creation.. Mr. Creed travels the globe searching for the purest essences to compose his masterpieces. Using the infusion technique (which has been abandoned by the modern industry), Creed weighs, mixes, macerates, and filters everything by hand. They also use the highest percentage of natural components in the prestigious French perfume industry.

That shit smells like a trailer park meth lab.

White power.

Vetiver Geranium is my favorite of the Acqua Originales because M. Creed really gets imaginative with his composition. Lemon is on top again but it is paired with a marvelous Granny Smith apple. This makes the early moments feel crisp and tart. I enjoyed this opening so much I kept topping up on the days I wore this just to get a little more. The green tinted rose quality of geranium is front and center in the heart and here M. Creed dusts it with smoldering cinnamon. The spicy floral is dynamic and as lovely as the top notes. Patchouli and amber provide the foundation of Vetiver Geranium and it is simple and appropriately chosen.

The Acqua Originale Collection has 8-10 hour longevity and below average sillage. These are light compositions and they can seem to be gone when they are still there.

Does a 'Handpicked crisp granny smith apple' smell different to just a 'crisp granny smith apple'?

mineistaken 02-10-2015 10:02 AM

It is nice for the ladies :)
So not so much "like", just wear it on dates or nights ou for the added bonus.

I spray the shit on my balls instead of showering. Really helps me conserve water.

Haven't heard of that one. I just picked up Prada - Luna Rossa, I love it. One of the best new fragrances I have saw.

I stopped using cologne a long time ago. I wish fewer women used perfume as well.

I do not use cologne as my wife is prone to migraines. Stronger scents like that can trigger them. I was a cologne fanatic before I met her. Now I just smell like ball sweat with a hint of shit mixed in.

What is 'vetiver'? I got a bottle of Frederic Malle Vetiver Extraordinaire for xmas. Not really into cologne and hardly ever wear it, but this one does smell nice. I also have a bottle of Tom Ford Noir which I wear on occasion.

I love tobacco vanilla and few other tom ford colognes.... and 5-6 creed colognes and I also have some stuff brewed up by this crazy Italian guy .... and 2-3 mass market colognes ... I generally mix and match with a spot of this there and a splash or that here etc....

Tom Ford is the man.

Have you tried anything by Bois 1920. I've always liked their packaging but have never tried any of their scents.
