David Carr dies just a few hours after moderating a talk with Snowden and Greenwald
David Carr, a writer who wriggled away from the demon of drug addiction to become an unlikely name-brand media columnist at The New York Times, and the star of a documentary about the newspaper, died on Thursday in Manhattan. He was 58. Mr. Carr collapsed in The Times newsroom, where he was found shortly before 9 p.m. He was taken to St. Luke?s-Roosevelt Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Earlier in the evening, he moderated a panel discussion about the film ?Citizenfour? with its principal subject, Edward J. Snowden; the film?s director, Laura Poitras; and Glenn Greenwald, a journalist. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/02/13/bu...t-58.html?_r=0 |

You're right. Thanks. I always get those fuckers mixed up. I generally just refer to Derek as "New Carr" to keep it straight. |

Mueren periodistas que preparaban documental 11-S | ELESPECTADOR.COM 'Three journalists who prepared a documentary about the hypothetical involvement of the government of the united states in the attack on the twin towers, happened on september 11, 2001, died this month in the north american country and in a space of 24 Hours.' thing that was interesting to me: 'At the beginning of 2015, the three journalists formed a separate company news and worked on a documentary about the attacks of September 11, 2001. ' |
