SO, you got all these site that did well

3-4 years later, your sites are receiving 3-5k in traffic each...sales ratio have dropped..but traffic has stayed somewhat the same....doesn't matter how pretty the banner is..not much is changing..

What would you do? Is this where some people gave up on the porn industry? or would you just make more sites? feeling kind of hopeless..the fact i cannot change ratio....im thinking maybe just add more niche..

I know how to get SE traffic and all..

im still in the CFNM,amateur, college niches...

so
A. add new niche
B. add more sites
C. Go mainstream?

Thanks

Stop being a pussy and actually do something about it. You probably spend more time contemplating then actually doing something.

Your sites suck. Who cares at this point. Try anything. do something. "Thinking" doesnt count.

The Porn Nerd 03-21-2015 09:10 AM

So have the sales steadily declined or are they at the same level then a sudden drop? Or was it a slow decline over the years?

Is the traffic more or less coming from the same sources? Maybe they are played out.

You can try a new, simpler design maybe but when a site "finds its level" it's my feeling that it's best to move on and create another site rather than spending all your time trying to squeeze out an extra 5-10%.

Good luck man. Hit me up on ICQ sometime to discuss more.

Keep saying this over and over...."Content is the King".... I am really frustrated with everybody talking about how many shitty sites they have and bouncing back and forth all this traffic... Fuck, did it ever occurred to you that if Netflix had same shitty stuff as everybody else they would be out of business a long time ago ? Keep one site, make it good with unique content not bought for 5 bucks and seen everywhere and you will see the good results :)

Not true. Hate to sound like the anti-Paul Markham here but TRAFFIC is King. Content? You can pay for that, shoot great stuff, all HD (even 4K)...and if you can't get any TRAFFIC to it then it's useless.

BUT if you have tons of traffic you can sell almost anything (including the traffic). Sites with amazing 4K UHD content are struggling. Niche sites are struggling. No, it's about getting quality TRAFFIC and "quality" is getting harder and harder to find. Just my opinion, of course. :)

Basically you have to sell a product which a percentage of people visiting over 0.000001% expect to actually have to pay for. In 2015 very few expect to have to pay for their porn and so you see the ratios you see today.

If you don't believe me as an experiment buy a box of ziploc bags from the grocery store, fill them with air, and then make a sign which says "Bag of air - 50 cents" and see how many people you get willing to buy in your local Walmart or mall parking lot. If people expect the product to be free then very few will ever buy.

I agree with you fully :thumbsup But if you promise in your site " the best lesbo domination" and then offer a shit with ugly tattooed skankies talking stupid ( "eat my pussy bitch" ) kind of stuff do not be surprised. They do not come back. You indeed need good and unique content. That was my point.

By the description of the content your talking about the content isn't the problem, some people like ugly tattoo'd skanks and it may just be "the best lesbo domination" video to them. If they don't come back it's probably your fault for making a misleading tour.

I have not seen a drop in conversions the last 3 or 4 years. I think the problem lies in the tours not being able to sell the customer, I have been looking at many many tours lately, thing is I don't see many that sell themselves. People need to add some personality to them :2 cents:

Actually this is a very lazy analysis. Try bottling free WATER and selling it for $0.50. I bet you would clean up.

True, but even shitty content sells. You can market vintage stuff from forty years ago. The thing is, your marketing has to match the content, that's all. Shit man, I can make pure shit look legit if it's framed the right way with a compelling story and good calls to action. :)

In today's fast moving world people like two things: control and convenience.

Maybe try a different niche? new program to promote? or just start building some new sites. I try to constantly build new sites and I keep the old ones but if they start dropping that bad then I eventually let them go.

OK, but a lot more like fresh cute 20 something, clean, no tattoos, extreme piercing and Du Pont tits...:thumbsup

I still convert about 0.5 %, my problem is I cannot move above 2000 uniques/ day.

stop caring about the money and be passionate about your project / site. build a community around it and profit from the social nature of humans.

I hear ya there, I have sites that convert like it's the 90's but very little traffic. Then again no affiliate program launched yet and very little advertising. Still building and getting everything ready for over a year now...

We DO have an affiliate program, but have never ran any advertising... I run the "money" part of the business, so I have only a limited knowledge of the constantly web "changing shenanigans" ... But I know, since we have NO SEO what so ever, that is the large part of the problem. As I said elsewhere here somewhere, my programmers are useless. Geniuses in writing code, but at 40 they cannot tie their own shoe laces. Trying to get rid of them, but as I see here, ( and other forums) the potential replacements are cut out of the "same cloth".... :2 cents::2 cents:
