How to remove StrongBox from a site

Anyone know how to do this?

Just want to make sure I don't fuck something up.

Hi, thanks for asking, you can turn off Strongbox by renaming the .htaccess file in your members' directory, putting back the original .htaccess file that uses Apache's Basic Authentication; for more information see our online documentation bettercgi.com/cgi-bin/wiki/wiki.pl/General_Information

Good luck with StrongBox - can't you just reverse the install instructions?

Pornguy did you find anything to replace it with?

Strongbox is buggy and they don't give a shit about fixing/updating it anymore.
