Monica Lewinksy on Ted Talks - GREAT TALK

It's about the price of shame

Monica Lewinsky: The price of shame : WomanhoodDomesticity

MakeMeGrrrrowl 03-27-2015 05:52 AM

Wahh wahh wahh.

Yes she's such a victim of humiliation. All could have been avoided if she kept her mouth to herself.

I don't feel bad for her for one second.

dyna mo 03-27-2015 06:31 AM

the topic should have been what a fucking joke ted talks are.

shoot twice 03-27-2015 06:56 AM

Not trying to insult anyone here but...

If anyone spent 1 month in production in L.A. they would totally understand where Monica Lewinsky is coming from.

dyna mo 03-27-2015 07:04 AM

i'm a producer in LA, there's no need for me to watch an ex-slut drone on about shame.

Quite frankly I don't care what you want or need to understand.

What I did was share a link to a video that I believe is is an interesting topic. If you want to watch it or not is entirely up to you... As are your opinions.

TED has become a joke. I spend 90% of my day watching science based programs, I cant even watch them, they have become to bias to there ideals, close minds now run TED

Not to mention I cant seem to find the problem with sucking ones dick. If she took it like a man would about eating pussy there wouldn't even be a problem.

90% of your day? Not really productive way to spend your life

Used lo like TED talks, but they ran out of quality, and new they just dress up average content

dyna mo 03-27-2015 09:07 AM

i had to finally realize TED talks jumped the shark a couple years back with that silly "hug a stranger and give them a can of beans" shortcut to happiness halcyon tried to sell.

michael.kickass 03-27-2015 09:48 AM

Saw it, very enjoyable.

I liked that dude, the straight guy with pink hair right?

RE ted talks: the platform creeps me out, it always has. It's like a PBS platform for mentally challenged adults who aren't aware of their disability. Just my random impression, no shade :)

RE monica lewinsky: she stalked her boss, a dirty old married dude in power, blew him, he came on her dress, she kept the dress, she bragged about it to whoever would listen, one person recorded it, and it blew all up in her face: no pun intended.

Now whenever hillary is in the spotlight, monica tries to remind us all of what a slut she used to be, oh but this year she's a victim of bullying 20 YEARS AGO for sucking a married dudes cock, oh and he was the POTUS.

No respect for herself. No respect for the institution of marriage. No respect for the United States of America. Oh, 20 YEARS AGO :2 cents:

Oh,I liked him also. He and I worked together back in the 90s building one of the first big online social networks. I just find his shortcut to happiness not grounded in reality, which I thought was one of the points of TED talks.

Well said about Lewinsky.

Wow had no idea dude!

You know him. I don't. I just remembered a motivated guy with pink hair, years ago.

I'm honestly getting tired of "anonymous" online business here. I went to the valley Tuesday on business could have done a hello & goodbye to you on the way somewhere :thumbsup

There are so many fake nicks here belonging to a handful of people that I'm wondering how many people I'm actually talking to sometimes :Hollering

And I agree with what was said about there being a huge difference between Freedom of Expression and looking for attention

She hasn't evolved in all this time, singing the same song :2 cents:

"ted talk" + "Monica Lewinsky" + "Great talk" all used in the same sentence? did hell freeze over? What's next, they'll have Paris Hilton on there or the Kardashians? :1orglaugh

If it works for him, surely that's grounded in reality, albeit his? And if it works/worked for him, why wouldn't it work for others? Obviously it won't work for everyone, not even the majority, but if it works for him and literally him alone, that's still reality :2 cents:

I can't remember that one in detail (though do remember I enjoyed it), but I'm sure it wasn't as simple as 'this one tiny thing will result in pure bliss', so much like a low calorie cereal won't make you shed the pounds, but does help as 'part of a calorie controlled diet', if you are looking to achieve y, then x can only help :)

first, as mentioned, i like styn, this isn't a slight on him. but you are assuming it worked for him. i'm not so sure. and reality is personal, individual, no 2 people have the same reality.

and no, his method wasn't one tiny thing. it was one big thing, give a stranger a can of food (something of small value) and a hug, even if you don't mean it, and the guaranteed return was pure and real happiness.

i would imagine if this method worked universally at all, there would be books and such. the self-help section of the bookstore always needs new material.

so other than enjoying the lecture, did you try it? did it work for you?
