Having driven through Texas numerous times since the early 80's the one thing that really stood out to me about the place was how many fricking counties there are in TX. There are probably close to as many "Entering **** County" signs as there are churches.

Quite interesting that almost the entire south is orange and life expectancy a full 10 years less than blue area. Also Obesity rates up to 50 in these southern states - according to the graphic.

I grew up in Fremont county next door and when I was younger, my dad almost bought a ranch in Pinedale in Sublette county. Gorgeous scenery, a ton of wildlife and almost no people...heaven...
