Large Adult Dating Site Hacked
 

"In case you happen to have one or multiple adult dating website profiles, you might consider securing them right away, as one of the world?s largest such websites has been hit by hackers. The attackers managed to steal highly sensitive personal data for four million users, leaking them online in spreadsheet format.


According to Channel 4, the dating site in question is Adult FriendFinder which has more than 63 million global users. In addition to usual personal data including usernames, email addresses, dates of birth and addresses, the stolen data also contains more sensitive information regarding the user?s sexual orientation and preferences, and whether they?re looking for extramarital affairs or not.

As for this recent attack, it?s not clear how the data was stolen at this time but Adult FriendFinder is investigating the matter.

?We have already begun working closely with law enforcement and have launched a comprehensive investigation with the help of leading third-party forensics expert,? the company told the publication.

?We pledge to take the appropriate steps needed to protect our customers if they are affected.?

One interesting piece of information the hack appears to have brought to the surface is that the site might have a lot fewer females using it than you?d think. According to Channel 4, from the 26,939 users with U.K. email addresses, just 1,596 identified as female, which amounts to a ratio of one woman to every 16 men."

That might explain their downtime last week.

On the plus side, the article states, 'from the 26,939 users with U.K. email addresses, just 1,596 identified as female'.

That's still 1,596 more females then most of the other adult sites have.

those 1.596 are guys who pretends to be girls on the internet :winkwink:

Wonder if that list will eventually leak to the public. Wonder if the divorce rates will be climbing.

How many of those leaked profiles are just fake?

the list must really cost.

For the record, this site has been hacked since it's inception.

Just for the record, alot of countries won't extradite their own citizens to another country (IE. Poland for instance, for example the Roman Polanski case)
