Rick Santorum
Back in the mid-2000's I would see Rick Santorum on news shows.
He seemed like a bright, young guy with his head on straight. I don't recall him ever talking much about social issues. Mostly just policy issues and the economy, etc. Then in 2012 I was shocked at what I saw of him. The ever present "mean" look on his face. 24/7 babbling on about "Jesus" and "prayer". Always angry and "outraged" over social issues. Not sure if that's the way he really is, or if it was just an exaggerated act to try to get all the religious vote in the Republican primary. But either way...this guy is the last guy on Earth I would ever vote for. I can't believe he has entered the race for the Republican nomination. :( |

This sick fuck actually brought a dead fetus home from the hospital for his kids to play with.
These clowns know there's not a chance in hell they'll be elected, but running for president has/will make them rich men. |
He's a frothy one alright... |
It's like he went from being a thoughtful, intelligent guy into being a hate-filled and angry religious zealot. :(
|
You know he takes it up the ass.

~ 15 republicans v hillary. :1orglaugh
just one small reason why the media gives Hillary a free pass. but the big reason is on account of simply being hillary. |
Quote:
They may also give her a "free pass" because She doesn't say insanely hateful, stupid things. |

lolz, now that i think about it, it also partly explains Hillary leading the polls so dominantly now, the republicans are spread thin and there are no other dem candidates.
|
half of the republican candidates wouldn't even be accepted at clown school - the thought they would have access to nuclear weapons is extremely scary
|
Hillary isnt the only Dem candidate, there's also Bernie Sanders.
|
What has Hillary said that is hateful and stupid?
|
this man is not a serious USA president contender that the democratic party is behind or would get behind.
http://i.imgur.com/NV0fL6S.jpg i believe i've also read he threw his name in the hat to give HIlls more room to come back left. nevertheless, my point is beyond valid, HIllary is getting a free pass in the media right now. that's not my opinion, that's a fact. and one of the reasons is due to the lack of current dem candidates. another reason is her "you don't get to ask HIllary questions" van tour. https://www.google.com/search?q=hill...sm=93&ie=UTF-8 |
politicians go where the wind blows. Even when a politician truly is sincere in his early career, whenever they get a serious shot at the big league they all have to sell their soul or they don't get adopted into the dirty little circle ran for decades by the real leaders.
|
I think a lot of these people are just hoping to pull a John McCain/John Kerry. Those guys were both way behind in the national polls and they threw all their eggs into the Iowa basket. It worked and they did well and they used that momentum to carry them forward.
Someone like Santorum likely hopes to appeal to the far right wingers. He then would hope they would show up and support him in Iowa and New Hampshire and give his campaign credibility. If they do they could carry him through the bible belt and perhaps beyond. If not he is done. It's way so many of the candidates drop out after the first few primaries. They took their swings hoping for a home run and struck out. |

"Where is the G-damn f**king flag? I want the G-damn f**king flag up every f**king morning at f**king sunrise." (From the book "Inside The White House" by Ronald Kessler, p. 244 - Hillary to the staff at the Arkansas Governor's mansion on Labor Day, 1991) "You sold out, you mother f**ker! You sold out!" (From the book "Inside" by Joseph Califano, p. 213 - Hillary yelling at Democrat lawyer.) "F**k off! It's enough that I have to see you shit-kickers every day, I'm not going to talk to you too!! Just do your G*damn job and keep your mouth shut." (From the book "American Evita" by Christopher Anderson, p. 90 - Hillary to her State Trooper bodyguards after one of them greeted her with "Good morning." "If you want to remain on this detail, get your f**king ass over here and grab those bags!" (From the book "The First Partner" p. 259 - Hillary to a Secret Service Agent who was reluctant to carry her luggage because he wanted to keep his hands free in case of an incident.) "Get f**ked! Get the f**k out of my way!!! Get out of my face!!!" (From the book "Hillary's Scheme" p. 89 - Hillary's various comments to her Secret Service detail agents.) "Stay the f**k back, stay the f**k away from me! Don't come within ten yards of me, or else! Just f**king do as I say, Okay!!!?" (From the book "Unlimited Access", by Clinton FBI Agent in Charge, Gary Aldrige, p. 139 - Hillary screaming at her Secret Service detail.) :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh She's the "champion" of the common people alright. :) |
Ever since I was forced from my home when working at an adult agency because of Christian persecution I am extremely weary of any strong Christian having power in government. There's no good that can come of it for the adult industry.

I wouldn't discount him so easily. He raised $1.5 million in the first 24 hours of announcing his run from 35,000 donors, which is more money than any of the Republican candidates did with all their media coverage. His campaign funding is also being ran by the same group of people that ran Obama's 2008 campaign, not to mention he has a very strong message the average person can relate to. Do I think he will beat out Hillary? No, but I think you might be surprised at how much traction he's going to get. https://scontent-dfw1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...6d&oe=55C1BF90 |
I agree with Bernie Sanders on the military fiasco.
But then again...he's gonna be painted as the "Ron Paul" of the Democrat Party. The "crazy old guy". Doesn't matter if he's right or wrong. He won't be taken seriously by the general public because the media will make sure of it. Just like they did Ron Paul. Just a couple of "crazy old men". |

That is certainly true. |

Don't underestimate Bernie - he's really really far from crazy (Ron Paul is batshit)
There is a good chance Hilary could put him on the ticket which means he could (longshot but it's possible) be president someday. |

Ron Paul is kind of a dink, but he's smart and I think he's the best that the Republican party has to offer. He still won't be President in 2016, but if he wins the nomination, he'll give Hillary a run for her money. Quote:

I like Elizabeth Warren a lot - she is one of the coolest and smartest ladies in politics and if I could I would vote for her myself, but even she can't beat Hilary Clinton. The US 2016 presidential race is going to be a cakewalk for Clinton and everyone, especially the dems, know it. If only they had held off on the fake Benghazi witch hunts a while longer... |
hah, yeah, you dems go ahead and make it a hills and bernie 2016 ticket.
|
@JIBCONTENT : Nobody underestimated Bernie Sanders.
But the perception that the media will give of him will be of a "crazy old man". Just like they convinced you the same of Ron Paul. The goal of the media is to make Hillary Clinton THE nominee with no real competition. That way she coasts through the primaries with no damage. Meanwhile the Republicans will be fighting tooth and nail and whomever emerges will be damaged goods. That's the goal...but only time will tell what happens. Hillary seems to be on the verge of a possible self-destruct. And if that happens...then we are gonna see a big Democrat fight like they had in 2008. |

Ron isn't running for President this election. His son Rand Paul is. |

I think that's why there are NO Democrat contenders for Hillary.
They are all being told by the DNC that they had better not get in the race if they want to continue in politics. (and of course all politicians want it to be their fucking career instead of just "serving" the people and going back home) |

I don't think he can win the nomination, but I wouldn't be shocked to see him land on the ticket. |

Nothing more, nothing less. If either "side" truly believed in the shit they preach...then they would actually DO it when they've been in power. So no...if I were a Democrat zombie (or a Republican zombie), I would WANT "my" candidate to not have to go through the primary process. People no longer vote for a person who has a vision. They vote for their "team" (party). And it doesn't seem to matter to them WHO it is...as long as it's one of "theirs". :( |
unfortunately, for politicians, the primaries are a part of the process. and if any of them stand a chance, they'll do what they do best and point/jab their finger at Hills.
|
I don't think they will.
With Obama riding off into the sunset unpopular...he's gonna need a few years of "rehab" to his image to be of much help. Hillary is already distancing herself (as the Dems did in the mid-terms). So that means that Bill Clinton is the lone "superstar" of the party. Without his name...the Dems aren't packing much of anything in the way of electability. My thinking is that the DNC is going to bend over backwards for Bill Clinton's wife to ensure that nobody challenges her. In the end, I'm not sure it's gonna matter. She really does seem hell-bent on self destruction. The BEST thing she's done so far is get herself out of site and refuse to talk to the media. Because every time she does anything in public or does an interview, it seems to go the wrong way for her. |
But let me get back to my original topic:
Man, Rick Santorum is a piece of garbage isn't he? |

Santorum is a right wing religious extremist.
He is a divisive candidate, and unpopular candidate, within the Republican Party -- he is a clown act and little more. US elections are usually 2 ring circuses with a lot of clowns:disgust I like Rand Paul and Bernie Sanders because they are the odd men out -- they may shape their respective party's platforms but neither seems very electable. A 67 Hillary is too old. Reagan was 69 when elected and spent his second term dozing off at cabinet meetings ... I don't think someone over 55 -60 is electable. Merkle and Thatcher were both considerably younger when elected. Bernie Sanders is already in his 70's he may trade off for a cabinet appointment if the nominated Democrat is elected :2 cents: Same with Rand Paul should the Republican nominee win the general election. |
