Will you be upgrading?

Spunky 06-02-2015 06:15 AM

I'll wait until the bugs are worked out,so probably 2 years later or until Win11 rolls out

Win 10 will be the last Windows - only partial upgrades from here on

(and i use it on one computer and it's fine - even as beta)

michael.kickass 06-02-2015 06:28 AM

I'm happily sticking to Windows 7.

candyflip 06-02-2015 06:32 AM

Already using it on my Windows machine. I love it.

Cash4Members 06-02-2015 08:46 AM

CurrentlySober 06-02-2015 09:08 AM

AllAboutCams 06-02-2015 09:31 AM

romeo22 06-02-2015 03:12 PM

Will wait to see the response but still used to the win7

Paul&John 06-02-2015 03:14 PM

Any features worth the upgrade from W7?

sandman! 06-02-2015 03:17 PM

i will probably upgrade.

MrBottomTooth 06-02-2015 03:21 PM

Do you still need third party programs like classic shell to make it act like win7?

nope, you don't

MiamiBoyz 06-02-2015 03:58 PM

Yes, I have waited for them to get rid of that dog Win8 and give us an OS that is actually usable by people who do more than just check email and watch cat videos!

Seems like they are finally "getting it"

Besides speed and security?
I'd say stuff like Continuum, Cortana, DX12, Edge, Xbox One inclusion etc.

EddyTheDog 06-04-2015 04:17 AM

I had to uninstall it - Chrome was reduced to a crawl - I expect that has been fixed by now though...

Zuzana Designs 06-04-2015 04:24 AM

Sounds like anyone using it is pretty happy. We have several windows pc's that I'm hesitant to upgrade. I think I may wait it out a little longer to make sure all the bugs are worked out before upgrading.

davidclickpapa 06-04-2015 04:39 AM

win8.1 at home, never been more satisfied. will wait with win10 minimum a year

I see the icon at bottom of screen did you guys format or just filling up hard drives?

Venum 06-04-2015 06:19 AM

I am using Windows 7 Ultimate now, so I will upgrade it to Windows 10 Pro.

CPA-Rush 06-04-2015 06:25 AM

Ubuntu 15.04 (Vivid Vervet)

Windows 8 was a step up in load times, and Windows 10 seems just as fast. I have no Windows 7 installations to compare with, as I found no reasons not to use 8.1.

Switched to Apple a few months ago, but maybe I'll install it on my Mac. I'm not a big fan of the MacOS.

I'm about to rebuild a new machine, so I'm going to wait for 10 to release. I like Windows 7, but I also don't like the idea of making a new computer and using a 5 year old OS.

Indeed, well it looks like Microsoft finally got it write.

They wanted to make a cross platform OS with Win 8 but forgot that there are actually people who use computers for WORK and do not have touch screens. Win 8 was too touch screen heavy and not enough desktop/mouse friendly.

With 10 they have worked to merge the OS to be more adaptive to different devices and not forgotten the user who needs a mouse for doing real work with their OS. :thumbsup

adultchatpay 06-05-2015 04:50 AM

I'll try it on my new PC.

yeah, I thought they were a little premature with thinking that everyone just likes to swipe screens. Like you said, there are people out there who do actual work and aren't on social media or playing app games all day.

But on my Surface Pro I have Win 8, and it was more tolerable by using Classic Shell, which essentially makes it behave exactly like Win7. There's still the option of using the gay Windows 8 bullshit by clicking a button.

+1 :thumbsup Running 8 now.

PornDiscounts-V 06-05-2015 07:43 AM

Anything "better" in 10 than 7?

Thinking 7 is about as good as it is going to get.

Won't be long before Adobe has their products running on Chrome or Linux and then nobody will use Windows.

MPGdevil 06-05-2015 08:37 AM

Ah so it's Adobe who's stopping Linux from world domination.

And Chrome OS.. I take it is primarily American schools using that piece of junk spyware.

Denny 06-05-2015 09:12 AM

Still not sure if it's worth upgrading for me (from Win7).
