I have a Veggie Garden, We have 8 laying hens for eggs, I usually do 20 or so meat chickens a year, and this year we are raising a pig. We have a good butcher in the area, and a whole pig usually works out at $400 for approx 160 lbs of meat (Bacon, ham, sausage, and roasts)

I was raised county so I've lived like that.... fresh eggs, fresh milk, cows, chickens... veggies... etc.. I love where I live now because I'm a few miles outside of town and it smells like country in the morning :thumbsup
