Prez on tv now saying everything is basically lifted with Cuba. What are your thoughts?

Nobody needs to apply for a license to travel to Cuba. Airlines are not offering flights there just yet so you still need to fly through Canada, Mexico, the Caymans or any other country to get there without the help of a charter from the U.S.

In the following decade there will be changes in political climate in there - and probably Cuba will follow the step of democracy. That would become one of the most desirable tourist destinations, so buying property in there would be a smart move - as long as the local government allows the foreigners to buy land.
A great move would be when they manage to restore the old buildings who were built back in the colonial years. And yes - cuban rum, Cuban cigars, Cuban dance schools, Cuban universities - Cuban women - for sure they have cool stuff to share with the world. We just need the regime removed - people yield for democracy there for ages.:2 cents:

I think this is long over due.

I understand the history involved here, but we've treated Cuba like shit for decades. When the Soviet Union fell there was no one to support Cuba and it's pretty much been completely on it's own since then. They still drive American cars from the 1960s there. It's time to move forward. We have nothing to fear from them, so we might as well be friends.
