How would you feel about him if you still owned Twisty's and that was your content?

CaptainHowdy 07-03-2015 07:22 AM

The user-submitted sites, tube or pins, always same story: DMCA dramas for copyright... also no 2257 age docs. I checked sex.com for metart teens pics, clicked a few that looked like metart ones to me (can't say for sure) and in few clicks I ended up in collections with questionable names as (don't click if you don't want to load unverified age pics) Oberon812 - Too old for Pedobear, but legal | Sex.com or Unweyexis - Daddy's little princess | Sex.com and 4kamu4 - young teen | Sex.com , they could at least delete files with certain keywords, this site it reminds me motherless.com quite.

BlackCrayon 07-03-2015 09:02 AM

i doubt they really think they can get sex.com but might as well throw it in there anyways, lol.

Since you can't protect porn images they don't really have a case, do they?
Hard to believe they were unable to workout a deal that would have benefited both sides.

bigove73 07-03-2015 09:57 AM

???awarded rights to the popular Sex.com domain name??? LMAO!!! Good luck with that!

I understand that 100%. I'm just saying after being in the business for more than 15 years and having been one of the good guys from what I can see it's weird to see his name in something like this. I believe he's just running the show and following orders from the owners (maybe I'm wrong).

It sucks to steal content. Interestingly enough if we all did what MetArt is doing 5 years ago things would be so different today.

If you don't lock your bicycle and someone steals it -- it is still your property.

It's a pissing contest and the only sure winners are the lawyers that get paid :2 cents:

Judges do interpret copyright laws differently than ownership on goods. Usually, they say, porn of any kind is not worthy of legal protection.

Got any examples of this?

On this planet, that is not accurate.

LeRoy 07-03-2015 01:15 PM

Ok. Then send a photo or a porn movie and try to register a copyright. The only thing you can do is register a name or logo.

Germany:
Porn Films Don't Get Copyright Protection in Germany, Court Rules | TorrentFreak

Taiwan:
Websites Can Legally Pirate Porn Movies, Prosecutors Rule | TorrentFreak

There are many other cases where courts deny copyright claims towards content that is not deemed a work of useful art.

This case was filed In the U.S. and the content is registered with the U.S. Copyright office.I'm on my phone sitting poolside so unfortunately I'm not in a place to get specific case links. I hear you though but again it is not relevant in this case.

When shit gets desperate (like it is and will sadly continue to be in the Adult biz) companies feel they have nothing to lose so why not go down fighting? Not saying Met-Art is going down but clearly litigation has become not just a defense but a business strategy for them. Go get 'em! :)

You're wrong.

There have been three obscure cases which placed that in doubt, all were over-ruled. (Taiwan, Hong Kong, Germany)

Porn is just as protected by copyright as any other IP.

You sound like just another dumb pirate.

Let's see the cases, please. I would really love to see proof for your claims of TW and HK court rulings in favor of porn copyright status.

For real? :))) https://wikileaks.org/wiki/An_insight_into_child_porn

A quote from wikileaks:

Even Web sites that still exist, such as Met-Art.com bought productions in 2000 with 11-14 year old girls...
Yeah, good luck on that :disgust
