Terminator Genisys: WOW!!!! (No spoilers)

Just saw Terminator Genisys and all I can say is WOW. What a freakin good movie. It's great sci-fi first and foremost. Good acting, good action, funny, and fun. It also has a really complex and involving Time Travel within a Time-Travel Paradox with cool nods to Back to the Future Part 2 and the first 2 Terminator movies. Arnie is 67 years old and he's great. T5 gets the 3D and IMAX treatment too and its worth the extra $. The 3D is really well done (and I usually hate 3D) and the IMAX giant screen and sound are the perfect way to see and hear this flick. Highly recommended (and don't leave when the credits start or else.... !) :)

Robbie 07-03-2015 08:33 PM

I saw it last night and enjoyed it as well. Arnold makes it for me. :)

The only thing that I was bummed about was that we didn't get to see Emilia Clarkes nice fat ass nude (I remember how hot she looked in that nude scene in the first season of Game Of Thrones). The cameraman stopped just before the ass would have been in the frame. :(

I was noticing her boobs during a certain scene. Wow she's cute.

T5 was PG 13 so we got cheated out some hot hot Emilia... oh well.

Robbie 07-03-2015 09:02 PM

Here she is in that scene from the first season of Game Of Thrones.
I would dive into that dick first! lol

Now I gotta see it.

nico-t 07-04-2015 12:56 AM

Hm somehow im not convinced.. i remember your posts about superhero movies, you thought everyone of those horrible movies were works of art..

but i will see for myself, i hope soon :)

TheMoneyMan 07-04-2015 09:35 AM

cant wait to see!

C H R I S 07-04-2015 11:23 AM

On my list, when I first saw they had another version I was not interested... but from what I hear it is quite good. Probably a better bet than Jurrassic World

H-Tom 07-04-2015 12:51 PM

If you want to see a great sci-fi movie, go and see Ex Machina.

Lots of nonsense in that movie. If you think twice at most of the things that happen there.

I like all the Marvel movies, sorry. And I *Love* Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Really a fucking good movie. So Bleah.

I didn't see JW yet...

If you liked the first 2 Terminator movies, and you are a fan of movie making, then the new Terminator Genisys is a special treat because the director ... um... paid homage to both of those movies. I can't tell you without spoiling it.

Could say the same about Terminator Genisys

mineistaken 07-06-2015 02:46 AM

Yeah, not convinced by someone who says captain america was a good movie.
Although this should be different, it is not superhero movie for kids and alike. It is legendary sci fi - terminator.

bronco67 07-06-2015 03:49 AM

The worst reviewed movies are praised so highly here, and the well reviewed movies "suck" usually. Just kind of odd.

brassmonkey 07-06-2015 05:32 AM

it was shit

pornguy 07-06-2015 05:54 AM

Saw it last night. It was the first one for my son as he is not old enough to have seen the others. But he loved this one.

And yeah she is fucking hot. Wanted to see the tits as well but.. hell I will settle for the brain bashing robots.

atom 07-06-2015 07:02 AM

Wife and I went and saw it last night. We both left feeling somewhat disappointed. The first 30 minutes of the movie is great. Then I think it kinda goes downhill from there. Also, something about the dude that they got to play Kyle Reece that annoyed me.

Yes the last one (Terminator "Salvation" was terrible. It was so bad that I think it wasn't even acknowledged in this movie. I did not hate Terminator 3 though - I thought it was pretty good, even though it didn't feel very terminator-ee.

michael.kickass 07-06-2015 10:17 AM

I'm watching it. :)

Brad Mitchell 07-06-2015 10:55 AM

I can't wait to see it!

Brad

HomerSimpson 07-06-2015 04:27 PM

It's a good movie... at least a million times better than new mad max...

sojproductions 07-07-2015 03:50 AM

Its good, better than rise of the machines by a mile and a bit better than salvation, but I still want a terminator movie without the humour, go old school and make it bad ass like the original

Ace_luffy 07-07-2015 09:23 AM

Need to watch this soon!

Plutocracy 07-07-2015 09:32 AM

I wanna see it so bad! I loved the other terminators!

mavruda 07-07-2015 09:42 AM

My parents went on vacation in Greece and no one is going to watch over the kids so we can go see the movie and feel like free men for 2 hrs....
We will wait for the DVD to come... probably - but we saw Pirates of the Caribbean so we are cool... kids love Jack Sparrow...

Don't be hatin' on superhero movies! Marvel cranks out some pretty good shit, and Cap2 was great compared to the 1st Cap! I'm with you!

As long as they aren't the Hulk movies, so far they've done a solid job.

Guardians of the Galaxy gave me the same feeling as when I watched the Star Wars (original) trilogy as a kid. Just cool action, great comedy, solid storyline. What's not to like? :thumbsup

I actually loved the first Hulk, and was kind of Meh on 'credible Hulk, though, I thought the sonic weapons during the University scene were cool.

I thought the first Cap' was really good. Did you see the VFX Breakdown of how they created "Skinny Steve"? Talk about edge-technology. I'm also kind of hoping for some kind of time-travel resolution to Cap and Peggy. Their story feels unfinished or unresolved to me, despite the fact of Cap meeting her as an old lady in the Hospital.

Fuck man, Marvel makes some great fucking high tech beautiful looking movies...

I mean come on..!!

Mr Pheer 07-07-2015 08:17 PM

I saw it today. I rarely go to theaters so I saw it in IMAX 3D.

Kind of wish I'd waited to catch it on Netflix now.

Ok. I knew you thought it was allright, i thought hey, maybe he fell asleep and dreamt of an allright movie throughout or forgot his glasses, then it's possible you rate that huge pile of shit 'allright'.

Now i see you actually find it 'really good'.... You just made this thread completely worthless.

Marvel movies are shit. Cookie cutter McDonalds movies without heart, they're all the same. Guardians was an exception, that one was allright. But can we please not talk about childish superhero movies in this thread, it's insulting to Terminator movies.

T2 is one of the best sci fi movies ever made, in fact it's one of the best movies ever made period.
T1 was nice, T3 was shit, Salvation makes me go to sleep everytime.

XMaster 07-08-2015 02:27 AM

I didn't like this movie at all.
Childish.
Stupid "Happy ending".
Skynet is aweful. (what a stupid idea to represent Skynet like a human being).
Helicopter pursuit is ridiculous
Kyle Reese has more muscle than brain.
All good scenes are just copies of scenes from T1 & T2 (but less good).
The script forget the whole T3 story which was giving a pretty background about john connor...

Kinda, sorta, but not always. I think HULK was one of the coolest-looking movies of the Marvel bunch. (The comic book-style editing blows me away every time).

As for heart - I think they do a good job, especially in Captain America: The first Avenger. I think the love story between Cap and his wife is great, and his transformation from a weenie was perfectly done. The love story was followed up somewhat in "Agent Carter" and done well too, and was perfectly wrapped up in the final scene, though I wish it wasn't.

Then again, some characters suck. Mark Ruffalo as David banner needs to have some fun. Jeremy Renners HAWKEYE is the most boring "superhero" ever (so he can shoot arrows - whoopee!). Dull dull dull. Scarlett Johansson's Romanoff / Black Widdow is another snoozer. I like watching her fight but her character is so secondary, especially in Age of Ultron.

Speaking of Ultron, the introduction of the Twins ("Scarlett Witch" and "Quicksilver") was good.

But its NOT a Happy Ending. You didn't stay through the credits, did you?

The Helicopter chase was cool - I liked it - and it reminded me of Die Hard.

Kyle Reese: The actor who played him worked for me.

The scenes that were copied from T1 and T2 were fun as hell. The director did a great job here I found.

The script is kind of a reboot, and just like Star Trek, is re-writing history, but they do it really well. Don't forget that this is a time travel story, and just like Back to the Future Part 2, they go back to the first and second movie to change things around. And don't forget that when they jumped forward to the 90's, they actually ended up in an alternate Universe which the characters haven't fully realized yet. Muhahahahaha this is great.

EliteWebmaster 07-08-2015 11:02 AM

This is so much better than the Marvel trash they have been putting out lately.

Be honest here, the majority of us could care us about Arnold, we came for this...

Saw it tonight and I have to agree with you. We we're also disappointed, first half hour was great and I was excited.

Pretty clear I have outgrown all the high tech, action explosion movies.

Very cute female actress as Sarah though. Yum yum!

I was a fan of the first 2 terminator flicks and it was still fun seeing Arnold.

She's good in Game of Thrones but i thought she was too mushy & soft to be Sarah Connor.
