Ya stolen cards are what I've seen alot of ofcourse. But recently Payoneer signed a deal with a bank over there and can actually issue prepaid cards now.
There will be a lot of fraud still but I believe with proper marketing, it's an untapped market. The capital alone has just over 14m people...something like 60m mobiles as well. |
Why stop at Bangladesh, bro? Go all the way and take NIGERIAN traffic

Fair enough but there is money to be made in that market....Nigeria; well that's a completely different story...

I actually saw a recent conversion in my affiliate network from Bangladesh!

Bangladesh is a very unique and complicated market especially when it comes to international payments. There are lots of restrictions when using a Bangladeshi credit card for international transactions, so if you want to accept payment from Bangladesh, you would likely need an alternative. There are a lot of other restrictions in Bangladesh that makes international payments complicated, Bitcoin is also prohibited in the country for example and even PayPal does not offer services there.
Payza does a lot of business in Bangladesh (Check out the Payza Bangladesh Facebook Page) and we've gotten to know the market very well, feel free to reach out to us for more information. |

Bangladesh has tons of fraud due to a few reasons. One of these reasons is most of the country is unbanked. If they have bank accounts, the majority of the banks and/or government do not allow for spending outside their borders. Any payment system has to be vetted and approved. The fraud comes from them stealing/buying stolen cards just to access sites or products from what I understand.
All that to say, its a market that is seemingly changing and the people of Bangladesh are being given tools to join the ecommerce landscape in greater numbers. |

And here's an interview of Bangladeshi TV from our former CEO when we first entered the market: https://blog.payza.com/in-the-news/m...ws-television/ Bringing our services to Bangladesh was a big deal for this country specifically because of some of the issues brought up in this thread. There are a lot of restrictions on international and online payments so we've worked closely with the government and banks in the region to bring our system to the country and tailor it to meet local needs. |
This month I've seen 50 Bucks from India, very unsual
