So how many hrs per day do you spend actually "working" these days ??

Did this thread a while back so want to see if people are working more or less hours now. This is assuming we are all talking about the adult industry of course.

6-8 hours daily weekdays, 2-3 hours weekends, 365 days a year :)

Bladewire 07-20-2015 09:42 AM

I've been working on a new project 12-14 hours a day. Some of it's education, most of it's implementation and setting up the right infrastructure for it to be solid and scalable. I'll be happy when it's done.

xFoundry 07-20-2015 09:48 AM

10-12 hours a day, with breaks, and 6+ days a week.

Colmike9 07-20-2015 10:00 AM

Maybe 2.. :upsidedow

yuu.design 07-20-2015 10:02 AM

12 to 14 hours a day from monday to friday

Jel 07-20-2015 10:03 AM

8 - 18 a day, though that's not solid due to waiting for tasks to finish, and I can do water cooler stuff like boards, facebook etc within that time. 5/6 days a week, though gonna force myself to take a few weeks summer break this year, split up over a few months :)

freecartoonporn 07-20-2015 10:10 AM

actual work 2-3 hours, in chair 10-15 hours.

crockett 07-20-2015 10:16 AM

I don't see why people would want to brag about working 10, 12hrs/day + or -..

I find it sad, that people feel the need to work those kind of hours and not enjoy their life. You guys whom are claiming to work those amounts of hours are going to wake up one day and realize your life has passed you by.

If you have to work that much, to support yourselves then you are doing it wrong. You are either far too greedy for your own good or you are living far outside your means.

When you sit on your death bed and think about your life gone by.. Do you really think it matters if you have $10k in your bank or a million? You are dead regardless, the only thing which matters is your experances during life and the people you meet.

You are completely ignoring that some people enjoy the pursuit of a goal and the way it makes them feel when the goal is completed. You see them as wasting their life, they see it as building something they dreamed of.

I go in phases. There will be six months where I work all the time and six months where I have more fun than most do over the course of a few years. I would not trade either of them. For me, that's what I like, that's what keeps me going. Who am I to knock the way another lives?

buyandsell 07-20-2015 10:21 AM

i just read GFY that doesn't realy count as work

Working that much and not having a normal life, is just as unhealthy if you are doing it for a "goal" as it is if doing it for money. Goal in this case is just a substation for the money..

If you have a family, it's certainly not fair to them and if you don't, then you are still missing out on life by being a hermit..

Rochard 07-20-2015 10:34 AM

10 - 12. I worked a full day on Saturday and also some on Sunday.

Tonight I have some plans starting at 5:30 pm and will take up the entire night. I almost feel guilty because I will not be able to work during that time.

important to this question is, what is work?

i knew a car dealership owner, said he works 100 hours per week. what exactly did he do? talks on the phone. visit an auction, look at cars, maybe bid. meets a possible buyer to look at one of his cars.

basically if he looks at cars on ebay, or talks on the phone, he is "working."

sandman! 07-20-2015 11:07 AM

2-10 depends on what im doing

Andreweb 07-20-2015 11:19 AM

I work every day , depends minimum 2 hours and maximum 12 hours but usually I work 4-6 hours with some breaks

Nicky 07-20-2015 11:47 AM

8-10 per day mon-fri average I'd say, work can involve just chatting with someone on skype though not intense grunt-work etc. Weekends I usually get a few hours done on Sundays

DukeSkywalker 07-20-2015 11:55 AM

Thats tough because a lot of my work is checking up on things looking for anything broken. That's everyday even holidays as that aspect can be done from my phone. Actual work that requires me seated at a desk or my presence required probably 20 hours a week.

If it is work related and takes them away from spending time with their family, yes, it is work.

femdomdestiny 07-20-2015 01:23 PM

Work is a 72 hour weeks wiping old ladies asses - Those were the days - I actually enjoyed it...

clickity click 07-20-2015 03:11 PM

I used to do about 15 hours a day in adult until Google butt fucked me.
Now I don't do adult - so zero hours, I just rely on rebills.

I now probably do more hours but it's non adult and non internet.

MaDalton 07-20-2015 03:27 PM

too much and not enough at the same time

what if you enjoy work? I was at lunch with this mega rich (well, more like sort rich) health dude in Tampa today. He really just loves to work. His breaks from work are very memorable. He's had some incredible experiences. He just mostly works.

DigitalPimpNetwork 07-20-2015 11:49 PM

10 - 12 seven days a week, why? I make very good money, the plan is to work my ass off for the next 2 - 3 years then take a big step back and hopefully be a family man

But... it doesn't FEEL LIKE WORK :)

MakeMeGrrrrowl 07-21-2015 06:28 AM

During the summer I work little. Maybe 3 solid hours a day, and not every day. Fall/Winter I work 9-5 with a break for lunch.

And it doesn't feel like work for me either.

While I am in the office 10 hours a day, I would say 8 hours are solid production. 1 hour for lunch and 1 hour for preparing for the next day / updating tracking for the day spent.

Denny 07-21-2015 01:13 PM

3-12 hours a day :pimp

Don't work much during summer and trips... I try to make rivers of cashflow with 'out of the box' ideas instead of busting my ass on a work 24/7.

I could be much richer working all the time, but as long as I do 200k/year I don't care much.

To each their own. I worked 10-12hrs+ daily (far more than 12 honestly) until I was comfortable, and once I was comfortable I programmed shit to run itself and took 2-3 years away from the computer completely. There is nothing wrong with working your ass off, many people apparently miss that point and get nowhere. You get what you put in.

The only reason I'm replying to your posting is because it's confusing to me how you cannot understand the concept of doing what needs to be done to survive? Some people have to work 1 hour a day and be OK and some people have to work 12 hours. What does it matter? Happiness in someones life and those around them does not come down to how many hours they work. That comes down to the effort they put into their non-work life. There are plenty of people who work 12+ hours a day and still maintain a happy lifestyle for themselves and those around them. And there are others who work less than 12 hours or not at all and do not live happily...

Your post is so misunderstanding I feel like it's trolling, but you have plenty of history here and are known so I don't understand why you would say such a thing.

I would have said exactly what Sly said but would rather not repeat so I'm just trying to add to it if anything.

bigPunk 07-22-2015 12:47 AM

Sitting with my laptop around 6-10hrs a day, doing actual work 2-4hrs
