WTF? "Trainwreck" wasn't good at all!?!

People were hyping the shit out of this movie saying how wonderful and hilarious is it.

It sucked!

incredibleworkethic 07-27-2015 05:23 AM

I went in the opposite and felt better afterwards.

Scott McD 07-27-2015 05:33 AM

Hmmm. Heard good things about it up until now.

I thoughy the trailer for "Vacation" looked funny as hell. Anyone here seen that one ??

bronco67 07-27-2015 05:33 AM

Entertainment Weekly was talking about Lebron James like he was the second coming of Charlton Heston -- but he looks stilted and awkward in the trailers.

Any gunfire at your showing? I heard this movie is very "shooty".

Train wreck looks funny and I like Amy Schumer. IMDB says 7.1 and and most of the comments contained positive reviews, but I may wait for it to appear on pay per view anyway.

I'll see this one also, but these days I reserve going to theater for the big dumb explodey type movies. Wait for cable.

CaptainHowdy 07-27-2015 06:29 AM

Bill Hader in a heterosexual role??

The Porn Nerd 07-27-2015 08:59 AM

Amy Shumer, the female Jay Leno - that chin!!

dyna mo 07-27-2015 09:02 AM

made a deal with the g/f so i don't have to see this. chick flicks aren't for me.

James - Mr. Skin 07-27-2015 09:04 AM

Saw it this weekend. It had moments, but overall did not find it enjoying!

imdb is probably the worst source on the planet to check out for new movie reviews.

I thought it was great, didn't stop laughing the entire movie. Lebron was excellent in it, he played the part real well, was very different to his real life persona.

TrainWreckContent 07-27-2015 11:38 AM

yea I was a little disappointed as well but the vacation movie does look funny as hell!

NETbilling 07-27-2015 11:39 AM

it was decent but not hilarious

czarina 07-27-2015 11:48 AM

The trailer looks great

SykkBoy 07-27-2015 12:54 PM

I found it pretty funny, but about 20 minutes too long. They could have cut out the whole intervention scene...that scene brought the movie to a halt and took away all of the momentum.

Judd Apatow has a case of Spielberg-itis....

that is he doesn't know when to end his movies.

kinda thinking some of you just don't get her style of humor or some of the jokes flew over your head.

hmm you went to see a movie called "trainwreck" and you didn't once think that maybe the title fit the movie?

It looks like a movie I might rent but wouldn't waste $25+ (tickets, popcorn, and drinks) to see it at the theater

mineistaken 07-27-2015 05:55 PM

You could see it from the trailer - regular cookie cutter comedy for teen (movie goers) IQ levels.
Not sure why would you expect otherwise, unless you did not see the trailer and somebody bulshited you.

People are already hyping Amy Schumer - then they are saying this is her breakout, transcending film - WTF are they talking about?

ReggieDurango 07-29-2015 08:47 PM

Anyone else actually see this movie?

I stopped watching his movies a long time ago.

40 Year Old Virgin is one of my all time favorite movies. I've seen it well over 10 times and still die laughing each time. Can't even attempt to watch anything else from him.

But aren't they all essentially the 40 Year Old Virgin? The Hangover, was that him?

Man I am so out of it! All I do is sell porn and make money. Jesus I need a life. :D

Plot:
Ever since her father drilled into her head that monogamy isn't realistic, magazine writer Amy (Amy Schumer) has made promiscuity her credo. As much as she enjoys an uninhibited life free of commitment, Amy is really in a rut. While writing a profile about charming and successful sports doctor Aaron Conners (Bill Hader), she finds herself actually falling in love for the first time -- and what's more, Aaron seems to like her too. Amy starts to wonder if it's time to clean up her act.

Were you expecting a cinematic masterpiece? :winkwink:

I was expecting something funny based on how many people were saying how hilarious the movie is!

You need to make a mental note of the friends who praised the movie...

...and replace them with new friends with more refined taste.

(just kidding) :pimp

Like the devil said when asked about the Bible in The Devil's Advocate: Consider the source.

LeRoy 08-31-2015 08:31 AM
