Cam Promotion - Better to Link Specific Performer or Front Page
 

For cam promotion, do you guys feel it is better to link to a specific performer targeted to your audience or to the front page with lots of performers? Which do you find tends to equal more dollars?

Sending to the front page gives them more options if they see a performer is not online they usually just click out

Depends on how the traffic is referred ...

Members area? Recommend specific models and offer a choice to see all other models also may be the correct answer.

I'd either go front page, niche specific front page= blondes, brunettes, etc... depending on referring site or a random live chat model. Filtering it down to a specific model kinda tough to run a campaign on as she won't be online 24/7. :2 cents:

I've been testing, but such small numbers of conversions can swing the stats thousands of dollars one way or the other that I don't feel my tests are statistically significant.

It all depends. For most people just linking to the front page works best as it is easiest and it offers more variety for people to fall in love with and thus spend. But sometimes targeting a specific performer makes sense too.

If you are linking from a Goth/Alt pay site then your best bet might be to make your own landing page with some photos of girls in the niche and some brief profile info and then link directly to their rooms (assuming the tracking is correct and you still get paid). Preferably with a online status indicator too so they will keep checking on your page. :) (If your cam sponsor allows and gives you all this). Then also add a general link to the front page inviting your visitors to look for "other girls we may have missed" as "new ones come all the time".

It really depends how you are sending traffic.

If you are showing surfers a preview / review of a particular model, then send directly to her profile - it is preferable to do this when the model is online.

If you are just linking a banner, the most popular cam at that time in your niche usually is the best option.

My theory is to choose a niche to focus on, and give your people the biggest variety of models in that niche. I've found it to be pretty successful. Of course, YMMV.
